Hi,
I always get confused about the installation of these mods. Can't figure out where to place it. I have the DAW downloaded and installed into my MODS folder in both my documents and game but when I have it enabled in GME and try a new campaign, nothing shows. Sorry I always have a problem with this stuff, can't get my brain around it. Any help appreciated.

"I use the function "Next unit" almost never myself."
--> I use the function "Next unit" almost always myself ! but it is not problematic because i can make "sleep" the units.
"one could shield the edge as a neutral zone"
--> as it was'nt done, i was thinking first that theses unis have to be used. That's why i have asked you the question. it was either intentional and so usable units , or either a bug ( forgotten neutral zone) . that was weird to see that situation.

I don't use GME for the more comprehensive mods like this, so my method may not suit you, but here is what I do:
1. Create a new folder <Panzer Corps DAW> on your hard drive.
2. Copy the contents of the folder <Panzer Corps> (your main Panzer Corps folder), except for your <Panzer Corps\Mods> folder if you have one, to the new folder <Panzer Corps DAW>.
3. Copy the contents of folder <DAW2007\DAW> to the new folder <Panzer Corps DAW>, overwriting when asked.
4. Copy the folders <ALLIES39-45> <DAW36-37> <DAW39-41> <DAW41-43> <DAW44-46> from folder <DAW2007> to folder <My Games\Panzer Corps\Mods>.
5. Start the game using "PanzerCorps.exe" in the new <Panzer Corps DAW> folder (the DAW title screen should appear), select new game, choose "More campaigns" to find the mods.
This worked fine and I was able to play the mod. If you're short on hard disk space, you can always delete the folder <Panzer Corps DAW> when you are finished playing. Note that I keep a clean installation of Panzer Corps on my hard drive (I have lots of space) which I use only for copying to a new mod folder, <Panzer Corps DAW> in this instance. So on my hard drive, I have a clean Panzer Corps installation which I never add anything to, and a separate one for DAW, Battlefield Europe, Modern Conflicts, Eastern Front - Soviet Storm and so on.
Hope this helps

"but when I have it enabled in GME and try a new campaign, nothing shows."
--> you have to go to "new game" then "CLASSIFIED" in right bottom corner and choose your "DAWcampaign"

Yep, I had the same problem. If you read back through this whole thread, I think Sonja gives some tips as to how this is possible.

Many thanks to Rubyjuno and Jeffoot77 for the installation tips. Since installations can always be a bit tricky and I never really like to do them, I have created a very detailed installation file for each of my two mods. For DAW, the download can be found at the very front. It describes in detail both the GME variant and the variant with a separate directory. Read through everything at your leisure and go through it step by step (and don't swear). If you still have problems, there are wonderful people here who will eventually help you reach your goal.
And yes, Rubyjuno, I also prefer the variant with the separate directory. It's more memory intensive, but cleaner, especially if you switch between different mods a lot. In my tests, by the way, I do the first test run with GME and the second test run with the separate directory.

The first scenario, "Saarland", is indeed something special. It is not easy to succeed here. Nevertheless, it is doable. As a tip, here is a link to a Youtube Lets Play by Goose, who masters this scenario perfectly:

Good luck and success in the end, Demyansk.

I have a big problem with the Smolensk scenario.
By the 19th turn, I have captured all the big cities, POW camps occupied from the beginning (my units on all "A" fields) and I don't know how to evacuate the camps. What do I have to do to make the evacuation possible (in how many turns do I have to conquer the city x, square Y?)
Please give me a hint.
Best Regards
Andrzej

If your own units are on the "A" squares, one strength point per prison camp is reduced per turn until they are at zero. This means that these units are tied up until the end of the evacuation and cannot take part in the battle. It is advisable to use aux units won in earlier scenarios for this purpose. However, this procedure is clearly described in the briefing. Is it possible that your units occupied the A-fields only once for a short time and were then immediately pulled down again? The hexes must remain occupied until the prison camps have disappeared.
However, with the "Moscow Path" you have also chosen the worst variant. It is something for hardcore players who are capable of suffering. I only included this path in the campaign to show how to definitely not defeat Russia. Conquering Moscow or trying to do so has always been a mistake, whether it was Charles XII (Sweden 1709), Napoleon (France 1812) or Hitler (Germany 1941). Russia is defeated via the periphery or fatigue - Crimean War (1856), Japan (1905), WW1 (1917), Cold War (1991). DAW is a similar case here.
But don't lose heart. Try it out and then choose another variant. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me again.
Best regards Sonja

Firstly, thank you for your reply.
I don't care about the difficulty level - I like challenges.
So how do I understand that if my units (mainly auxiliary) will be on the "A" fields all the time and the camps will disappear after these 20 turns, I will be able to achieve a decisive victory?
Kings Regards
Andrew

Yes, exactly. The units must remain on the A hexes until the prison camps have disappeared. When this is achieved and all flag fields have been conquered, there is a DV.

Here I give another insight into a scenario of the fourth campaign. It is the 13th scenario "Stavanger" in the Norway Trail.
The overview map shows the landing in southern Norway from Denmark, which was occupied in the previous mission. The destroyer Z25 has a special mission that takes it to the Hardangerfjord and then (if successful) back to the port of Esbjerg. The mission goes all the way to the important port city of Bergen.
The first picture shows the own landing fleet coming from the south (1). Paratroopers are positioned just behind the coast (2). On the flanks, own submarines secure the fleet and reconnoitre the terrain at the same time (3). In the process, U 47 is attacked by a group of British Skua bombers and first suffers losses (4). Further British planes lay disturbingly off the coast (5). A contingent of Canadian defenders lies between Kristiansand and Arendal.
The first ground troops arrive in front of the Stavanger defence line. Airborne troops lead the way (1). After ship artillery fire, the first air attacks take place (2). Coastal air groups are also in action (3). Their recon movement makes them very useful for anti-submarine warfare and reconnaissance, even if they are not very strong in combat against enemy planes. The own naval forces advance northwards with the submarines in the lead (4). Northwest of Stavanger they encounter a stronger group of the Royal Navy (5).
2 turns further on, the battle for Stavanger is approaching its climax. Massive air attacks leave the British few chances (1). Our own submarines (2) discover British transports near Haugesund, which are escorted by a destroyer. The British try to bring more troops ashore (3). For their part, our attacking submarines are taken under fire by Royal Air Force air groups (4).
A few rounds later, the first attack spikes arrive in front of the northernmost main target - Bergen (1). British planes are still holding out (2). They are supported from land by partly very good flak, which dominates the airspace around Bergen (3). A tank division with super-heavy Tortoise models, which can strike really meanly, is also waiting for our attackers (4). Our ground attack continues to fight its way through difficult terrain (5). I wonder if the Jagdpanther division is in a particularly good position here?

I have this mod installed and everything was working fine until I got into a few early scenarios and it was placing any enemies on the map. The flags were a light green color and I just moved my units onto the flags with no enemy units.
prag, pilsen, wochau, worsaw etc

Hi Again, This is what I see at the start of the scenario, no enemy units anywhere after I move my units throughout the entire map. It's the Prag scenario and also a few before that

When I look at the screenshot, it looks like the mod is not activated. Then the flags of the CSR and a significant part of the units cannot appear. Did you have it activated with the JSGME or did you activate another mod in between? Alternatively, I recommend installing without using the JSGME. Look at the installation file again.
