- - - There are always pros like yourself lurking around with other pertinent info such as the "light freight trait"
The tooltips are very helpful when in doubt:

So then I played Dragoon 1 and everything was going fine I met all the Phase 1 Objectives on time got the green check mark even cleared the right map edge all the way up to and including the hex that had supply in it - did not leave a unit in NICE Phase 1 SSF hex on some other hexes got a pop up that said leave a unit anywho ..
As I was doing other things units - enemy units appeared on right map edge and they ran a unit into NICE and upon going to the next turn it wiped out my Green Check Mark
I completed all the other objectives on time and sent some units back to tidy up NICE and then even later on more units appeared over there and so I dealt with those too but had to do a "igotnukes" to end up with a Major Victory instead of a Draw which causes one to have to replay Dragoon 1
I sent all my paras over to the top most vp hex which spawned some partisans which I ran around and played with
Overall good map barely won it on medium level at last turn wooo hoo

I may be mixing up the armored train stuff with Strategic Command World At War (where you can get them, but they can’t yolo into enemy terrain) but I wasn’t ever able to get one as the Soviets so kinda moot for pulling off a trademark if dated maneuver.

I used to think that too, but if you click the title box showing the name of the terrain over the picture of that terrain while a unit is selected it’ll show the traits of that unit.
Which is super not obvious but helpful once you know about it.

Gunny, thanks for the excellent feedback. I tried to make clear the historic paths to victory. So you are playing it your way, and winning and enjoying it. I think I tried to warn the players about the Germans around Cannes-Nice.
Please keep me posted of your progress and on any errors you find please!
conboy
thanks again

I had the same bug happen with Phase I showing a green check, then switching to a red X. Was meaning to post about it but have been busy!

Have not found any more errors on
Page 2 of the Dragoon info before the battle it clearly reads, "The 1SSF Paratroopers will isolate LXII Corps HQ - 45th Help them out! Then deploy the paratroopers to the NICE area to prevent the Germans from counterattacking from Italy"
Just because we are provided with specific intel does not mean we are smart enough to listen to it and to use the info we do so or not do so at our pearl !!! Thanks for reply everything looking fine.

Played Volges Mountains uh ... there are a lot of mountains I enjoy the arty that pounds my units that is hard to get to in order to silence this can be an aggravating scenario because of the mountains but it has your personality so its enjoyable had not problems off to the next one unfortunately the war is coming to a close

Yeah this is the 2nd time you said its downhill woo hoo "the next one " was a huge map but unique cause ya had all the pop ups and order changes or additions which is more realistic my speed though is more of the map after that which was a nice 19 turn erotic battle called I think Kayserburg Gumar or something lol I was able to get a decisive and not loose any units. This one was more enjoyable.
Celebrating Christmas woke up at 3:44 AM could not get back to sleep Ready for The Savior Jesus to return woo hoo. Hey I'm on a horse now staff sergeant its cold here I may have to kill the horse and crawl inside did you see the movie Jerimiah Johnson - Robert Redford.
This campaign is about over I'm ready to go home and tell my grandchildren what I did during WW II I did not shovel - did you see the movie Patton ???

Yes Jeremiah Johnson is the only Robert Redford movie I can tolerate. I like it when he finds the talking head on the ground in the desert.
Of course I saw Patton.
Thanks for reporting on the playthrough as you go Gunny. It is very important to me to correct any errors.
Merry Christmas to all!

Good Point - it actually is the only Robert Redford movie one can tolerate Wait what about Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid you probably saw that one and like it .. Did you see the moive Patton that was a stupid question the better question was did you remember in the movie Patton wherein during the speech he says When you have your grandson on your knee and he asks you what did you do during the great world war you won't have to say well I .... in Louisianna
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLtQWyRdyNE < Patton movie link.
Ok so I guess I need a new computer I did Colmer Pocket but they thing is somewhat unreadable here is a picky
its another downhill simple scenario not many units or Objectives just about 20 of them. The enemy does not defend in depth either nor do they wait to ambush ya ..

Colmer pocket works fine except for this Objectives message see how its garbled maybe the LSD is affecting me who knows

Gunny,
Nobody laced your ovaltine -- thanks for pointing that out, it was an easy fix.
You only have 3 battles to go and an easy jaunt through Berchtesgadenerland to find Goering's secret stash...
conboy
- The enemy does not defend in depth either.
All in the eye of the beholder - I thought the French had a very rough go of it in the north. But maybe you just went through the Germans like crap through a goose... I like that line from Patton, too!

My concept of the enemy not defending in depth is that when I attack a unit and push past it there are no other units withing 15 hexes of it anywhere ...
Hey I did Siegfried this is a great map ... why .. no mountains - I'm sick of the realism also the Commandos add a lot to it they are fun to use. Great at taking out the arty etc.
Of course I had to add extra turns probably why I ended up in a draw even though I got all the Objectives after engaging "#overtme"
This is the final popup thing then it said draw
Siegfreid
I USE MICROSOFT OFFICE 2010 TO OPEN THE SAVED .BMP FILE VIA A FRAPS SCREEN SHOT AFTER I UPLOAD IT TO FLIKR THEN I EDIT IT CROP IT AND THEN MAKE IT HUGE KIND OF HILARIOUS WOULD NOT GIVE THE GREEN CHECK SO GOT A DRAW WHO KNOWS MAYBE NEED TO NOT CHEAT AND ADD TURNS

Thanks, Gunny.
Looks like something strange is going on with that counter... I better check it out. Sorry you didn't make the objectives on the first go-through. You playing Level 3? That's what it was designed for.
Just so you know, you can hit the F9 button on the top row and it'll save screenshots to your Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Screenshots folder. Use the .jpg file, not the .png. PNG are too big.
thanks again!

I just did Rhine to Nuremberg I did really great played on medium level where I usually have problems but every unit was in a good position and the attacks did well I got done 3 turns early but when the counter attack came I was in good position I did not bother with going through the forest I went around it - Got all of the objectives - Oh I did loose two units and I think on this map ya can't place anymore down. Oh wait I know what I did I gave myself extra helments and so I gave each infantry unit a machine gun truck thing.
Rhine to Nuremburg

Ok did Nuremberg to Munich got one more Bertsges - Eagles Nest
On Nuremberg to Munich no cheats took the units I get and did not get extra helments and give them all transport. Almost did not get the 1st objectives in time happened to have a orange unit cause all warn out but at level 7 which could do a final attack on the 2nd objective of the primary objective in less than 9 turns or something pounded the enemy with all my exhausted arty in it happened to move it out of the way so I got the big green check mark - Then I was able to hold the bridge and finish the whole thing in time so it was a tense battle for me on medium difficulty lol
this one
Whoever the designer is has done a great job lots of times aggravating how the AI effectively counter attacks. I often loose a unit in a scenario or have one that gets down to a strength of 1 and happens to retreat in the correct direction. If I'm more cautious I run out of turns ...

Last one done I just went into all the areas and saw the pop ups did not engage the French I was done in 5 turns ... two of my infantry units had trucks
Enjoyed the campaign good job it is a unbelievable amount of work and time to get it right as you did.
