rexhurley (Hyskos) defeats RussellGardener1964 (Assyrian) 49/6

Central walled fields allowed the Hyskos time to be patient and wait. Isolated unsupported probes on either wing into the gaps between the fields initially by Cavalry then Heavy Chariots allowed the Hyskos time to surround, disrupt, contain then frag and kill creating a win before the Assyrian closed late in the game.

Thanks for the humour and playing through even though it was grim for you from early on.

The Parthians had a difficult time fighting the Ptolemaic army along the hilly river. However, after some redeployments, the Parthians managed to shoot up the Ptolemaic right and roll towards the center.

I am uncertain whether this is considered a victory or a draw... The message in the end said neither had the will to go on but it said that if I held through the night I would win... I leave it to the judges.

In a swirling maelstrom of death and destruction bebold held a slight edge at the end over fogman 63-60.
The Navarrese that lived drank themselves into a stupor as they tried to forget the destruction on both sides.

bebold :-)

It is considered a draw, though you will score 3 more points than your opponent.

rafydedel German 888-932 with Magyar Allies defeats carpenkm French 888-1049 with Viking 900-1049 allies 45-16

The two armies were similar in units selection, with a good number of cavalry and heavy infantry units. They quickly were head to head. It only needed a few disruptions for the battle to turn in favor of the German as they could next flank other units once their fight resolved a little quicker than their neighbors.

rafydedel German 888-932 with Magyar Allies defeats batesmotel Byzantine 740-903 AD w Slav allies 46-7

Lot of missile troops on each side, with byzantine cavalry on one side, and Magyar horse archers on the other, and many light troops on both sides.
Byzantine were maybe a little too in a hurry to get close to their opponent, and could not resist the combination of missiles and lancers that welcomed them.

WASP8498 Rus 1155-1264 defeats mh5064 LATIN GREECE 1205-1319 w/ BYZANTINE (TREBIZOND), 60-36

Both armies started with similar forces with a similar mix of cavalry and infantry, with the exception of the Greek forces having dedicated ranged infantry and the Rus having horse archers along with a bit more cavalry. The terrain was flat with some patches of rough ground, so it was a straight forward clash between forces with the exception of a slight flanking maneuver by the Rus cavalry around a patch of rough ground on the left flank. The Rus infantry took a bit of a beating while advancing toward the Greek forces due to their superiors ranged advantage, but the Rus forces had the advantage in melee so once they got close the fighting began to swing against the Greeks, but not dramatically. The Greek infantry was more successful on the left flank while the Rus infantry found more success on the right flank. The key moment of the battle occurred when the Rus cavalry beat the Greek cavalry on the right flank. This allowed the Rus forces to hunt down the Greek ranged infantry and flank their stronger infantry. After a series of flanking maneuvers at the center and the Rus cavalry eventually finishing off the Greek cavalry on the left flank, the Greek forces were forced to retreat.

Thanks for the game.

WASP8498 Rus 1155-1264 defeats mberisso German (Imperial) 1155-1199 w Free Canton, 52-25

Both sides had significant line of cavalry on the left flank with the Germans having many knights and a couple mounted crossbowmen and the Rus having a couple heavy cavalry units and the rest being medium and horse archers. The rest of the infantry lines in the center looked similar on both sides with one distinctive unit on the German side, dismounted knights. Both sides advanced toward each other across flat, open terrain. There was a large patch of rough ground that Rus forces used to separate and slow down the German cavalry by drawing them to the area using light cavalry and starting a small engagement on the rough ground. This made the German cavalry divide into smaller but still formidable groups. The infantry engagement kicked off with both sides attacking each other. The fighting was back and forth for a while until the Rus started to make some advancements with some luck on their side and attack the steadfast unit of dismounted knights with 3 units. Fighting also started on the right flank where both sides revealed forces that were concealed in trees. The Rus had a small contingent of cavalry, with one of the units being heavy cavalry, and the Germans with a larger contingent of medium infantry. The Rus pulled a unit of Finno warriors to engage them, but they got hit hard and routed. As luck continued to favor the Rus main infantry line as well as the cavalry right flank, the main line advanced while the Rus cavalry valiantly held off the German heavy cavalry. With that, the German center began to collapse while the cavalry fight continued on the left flank along with the fight on the right flank and the Rus forces took the victory.

The battle could have gone either way. Thanks for the game.

Unfortunately, all the Burgundian artillery and longbowmen failed to score a single disruption, and once the pikemen got into melee it was pretty quickly over.
Thanks, Nosy_Rat, somehow I missed it. My spreadsheet has been updated and it will be included in the next update in about a week.
