Mitanni split their army in two, with infantry on a steep hill and chariots on my left wing. Phoenicians could delay the assault on the hill while taking care first of the chariots.

Rafydedel (Phoenicians 800-682 bc + Neo Hittite Allies) defeats Ianiow (hittites 1275 bc ) 40-15

Hittites army was arranged as a pack with heavy chariots in first line and infantry and light chariots behind.
Phoenicians had a larger line of battle, and could advance on the flank of their ennemies. they managed to hold the narrow first line with their own heavy chariots and swarm their opponents with their infantry.

That was close though

Ironclad (Mongol Ilkanid 1230-1351 AD with Georgian allies) defeated Asterix_von_TWC (Andalusian 1050-1154 AD with Berber Murabit allies) 44-12

The Mongols managed to concentrate the main part of their army against the Andalusian left flank to decisive effect before the enemy right including a large cavalry force hiding in ambush could intervene in strength to turn the contest. Good battle and thanks for the game.

quite a close battle and sporting opponent who put up a great fight. Loss of heavy hitters did for my opponent in the end and managed to grind our a win in the end.

Div 4

Alexmike1 Parthian 250BC-225AD w Seleucid 166-125BC allies beat AKvGoeben Lysimachid 320-281BC w Thracian(Hellenistic) 350-281BC ally 52-27

Mass skirmishing on the Parthian extreme right between their horse archers and the Lysimachid lights/cavalry supported by hoplites was fairly even, though the Parthians greater numbers allowed some to slip in behind the screen.

The battle was mainly decided in the centre though, where the ungodly combination of pikes, imitation legionaries, Thracians, Galatians and cataphracts managed to overcome the phalanx of the Lysimachids.

Thanks for a good game that was in the balance until the last couple of turns.
