armenian Cats managed to engage the bosporan cav and medium troops before the roman bosporan ally could engage...predictable results when cataphracts meet mediums with sharp sticks. good effort Fin, i just got the desired match up first, and so it goes...

a very close match that has seen the english standing on the hill trenched up in defense in order to shoot down the besieging irish with tons of arrows! The attacking irish have suffered casualities but finally have reached out the core of the english army breaking up on the right flank..but the victory has been also a matter of luck!

Palmyrans won initiative....and managed to concentrate their forces against the roman left, while the Roman attack on the other flank was stalled by a hill. Game was closer than the scoreline suggests - the Romans failed camp raid rolls for 4 turns!

You can laze about, satisfied (but not self-satisfied) that you got promoted and probably won the division.

It may be a long wait, however, as it seems 4 players have completed less than 5 games.

Having the initiativ didn't help much. My cavalry heavy force ended up on a plain with hills and steep hills on two sides. The Nubians soon came at us from all sides.I concentrated all my troops in the center of the plain and then struck in three directions.
The cavalry did all the fighting. Meanwhile the def spears faced the fourth side, acting like target practice for a hefty part of the Nubian archers. Enough archers had to face my cavalry though, and despite the fact some of them had the advantage of standing on hills they succumbed in the end. Most of my cavalry were down to 50-60% when victory came so it was in the nick of time.
