It would be great, with the landscape from the Afghanistan and Iraq mod, naval and air elements, as well as the Epstein coalition's ground operation against Iran to create a buffer zone in the Strait of Hormuz.
Your mods are awesome, thanks for your work, guys!

A quick reply, since I see I've been mentioned.

I also don't intend to do anything with Iran, as Akkula hasn't created enough Middle Eastern content for me to work on it either. I'm much more comfortable with the scenario editor than with general modding, including army creation.

However, we have the flags and a slot in the army list for Israel, Iraq, Qatar and Saudi Arabia (the last three of them were on historical scenarios), so I guess it is possible to add units to those lists ; but I already have enough projects planned to not try to jump into it :(
Sometimes, i tinker a bit and it could work. For example, to represent talibans in first British campaign, I used the ISIL unit list with a modified flag on the units icons. They have Kalashnikov, RPG-7, Toyota pick-ups, etc... so the illusion works well.
But Iran has a wide range of equipment, some of which designed locally ; so I can't use the same trick for a more complex army.

Hopefully, the game Modern Conflicts will offer more Middle Eastern-related content. It might be a good idea to ask the question on his forum; with a bit of luck, he'll be interested.

In the meantime, I'll keep an eye on this Russian submarine story. I have a feeling this mini-campaign is hiding something bigger

The missions so far range from the capture of a traitor near Latakia to the destruction of a secret warehouse in Tartus and a sabotage operation on Cyprus. The campaign is currently in development – I am working on Mission 3 at the moment, with about 6–7 missions planned in total.ghj.pngkkl.png

The first part of my new campaign “Silent Depths,” consisting of three missions, will be available soon. Here are some important notes: The reconnaissance vessel Yantar must not be lost or destroyed under any circumstances. The Yantar has three combat modes and is therefore largely protected against attacks from both the air and the sea. In addition, it can provide limited fire support in ground combat if deployed special forces units come under pressure. However, since its ammunition reserves are limited, every use of firepower should be carefully planned. In addition, I have given the YANTAR the camo trait in ASW mode, the fortkiller trait in ranged mode, and the reconmove trait in AA mode, allowing it to be used in a variety of roles.

The campaign is, of course, fictional, but I wanted to offer something a bit different for the sake of variety. The briefings and notes are available in German, English, French, and Russian.

As usual, I enjoy "experimental" scenarios that offer unique situations. I appreciate the idea of being a ship's captain rather than a general this time around.

I'm also putting the final touches on my next mini-campaign for MC; I should have it finished tomorrow if I don't mess up.

It's a sort of group release, to remind people that this mod is well alive, despite the boss's departure
Where is Tomas? he could have make a map of Iran to add another release

PS : Will we encounter Cthulhu if we go deep enough with the mini-submarine?

Now my heart and my desires will be torn between a hypothetical alternative France during the Second World War and a fantastical modern-day setting with a James Bond-style plot )))

I had to Google it; the term meant absolutely nothing to me. Maybe...as the final boss in the last mission.

I think my little campaign serves more as a filler when commercials are airing on television.

I've decided to take an extended break from Panzercorps modding. Aside from colorizing the images for the Pak-Mod, I won't be creating any further Panzercorps content for my sites for the time being. I'll be back as soon as I have time again.

Maybe I've been staring at Vukodlak's icons a bit too much; but honestly, wouldn't that be cool?
Imagine, you download a campaign about a fictional battle in the near future. For three or four missions, you have scenarios that are "serious business". You manage your infantry, your tanks, your planes, etc., and you destroy the enemy's, as usual.

Then, a scenario comes up about a camp that has broken contact with HQ. You order your units to join them, and upon arrival, you get a text message informing you that your men found everyone dead in a particularly brutal way.
You're still wondering what happened when you click "end turn," and that's when you notice that zombies are appearing among your units in the camp, and that enormous monsters are moving through the surrounding forests.

Suddenly, the scenario becomes a fight for survival, and the campaign transforms into a form of survival horror within a strategy game.

So, when I saw this submarine after reading Vukodlak thread, my imagination ran wild; and I thought, "Damn, it would be cool to have some kind of cosmic horror thing suddenly pop up right in the middle of a serious story."

... Okay, I'll keep that idea in the back of my mind. Try to forget about it, in case I get the urge to do it someday

I've just finished my campaign, I'll install this one now by the way... and I won't be meeting Cthulhu today, understood.

The Strait of Hormuz. Then vs. Now.
I thought everyone here was a serious bloke ) But it turns out there are some Cthulhu fans here after all ))) And judging by this photo, I even know where he’s hanging out now ) Only he could have scared off the navies of so many countries )))

I’m going to start playing through Toby’s mini-campaign now, and then I’ll get on with yours. Otherwise, the whistling of bullets and the screeching of World War II are starting to make me feel a bit down and bored.
