Good fight. Roman success on the left and centre with mediums/ Sarmatians/heavies brought victory whilst the right (helped by reinforcements) managed to delay long enough a threatening Indo-Greek outflanking drive which took out the Roman camp on its way into the Roman rear.

Sharkall (Dacian) 29/53 vs ericdoman1 (Indo-Greek) 51/48

I had the initiative, choosing a map with a big patch of woods in the center. Had all but one of the Sarmatian cavalry, and a lot of skirmishers for protection against archers. Managed to catch a few troops in the woods, which more or less anchored my center. Since the Dacians are quite mobile, they managed to stretch the fighting front to the left and right for almost the height of the map. Better melee prowess and heavy weapons would capitalize on the advantage, while avoiding the scary elephants and pikes would leave more of our men alive to fight another day. The usual goat sacrifice before the battle was worth it, as Nemesis granted our warriors plenty of fortune and good dice in this battle

Somebody has changed it without asking me so I have changed it back again. Cromlechi has started his matches now and is still very much part of this division.

davouthojo (WOTR Yorkist Pretender) 51/54 vs 53/49 (Hungarians) claymore

Very tough game. Yorkists won initiative, and picked a nice map for their longbows to repel the Hungarian cavalry, with a river up the middle and ploughed fields. Unfortunately, the Hungarians were not draw into an easy game, and stayed well back. The Yorkists surged across the river and were immediately in a fight for their lives. The Yorkist left was crushed by knight charges, the Hungarian left was turned by men at arms and kerns. A nailbiter to the last - should have been a draw. Thanks for the epic game!
