Now I'm switching from German units to other countries. This is one British light tracked tractor, Fordson N crawler. This cute little thing was mostly used in the RAF for airport construction and transportation (bombs probably).

Motopulemet (ital. Motomitragliatrice) Ansaldo MIAS, Italy. The prototype was built in 1935. Crew of 1 person, armament – two 6.5 mm machine guns, ammunition – 1000 rounds. A motorcycle engine with a capacity of 5 hp accelerated the car to 5 km / h, while the driver–shooter was not riding in a motorcycle pistol, but followed him.
An experimental incendiary self-propelled mortar on the Valentine chassis was created in England and tested in 1943-45, but it was not adopted into service.
The shooting was carried out by high-explosive incendiary mines containing 11.3 kg of trinitrotoluene, with a caliber of 201 mm (according to other sources - 248 mm).
Despite the maximum firing range of 1800 meters, the sighting was only about 350 meters, which was almost suicidal for calculating an open car.

All three have the opened top turret.

I just got this one ready. The Russian FAI light armored car. It's performance is a little inferior than the BA-20.

Service and Combat Application

FAI and BT-5 on Khalkhin-Gol captured by the Japanese as trophies!
FAI and BT-5 at Khalkhin-Gol. 1939
A total of 697 FAI and FAI-M armored vehicles were built during serial production, which made them the second largest (after BA-20) machine-gun armored vehicle of the Red Army in pre-war times. FAI and FAI-M armoured cars were used in the battles: first against the Basmachi in Central Asia (OGPU units, 4 lost), in the battles of Lake Hasan and on the river Khalkhin-Gol[13] where 14 vehicles were lost[14], in the Spanish Civil War, where 20 vehicles were supplied[15], in the Winter War (2 lost FAI)[16] and in WWII. FAI and FAI-M were used until 1942, on the Soviet-German front until April 1942,[17] and by August 20, 1942, the Trans-Baikal Front had 10 FAI and FAI-M
In 1934-35, 30 FAI were received by NKVD troops.
In 1934 22 were delivered to Mongolia, and in 1936 another 15 machines. One FAI was lost on March 31, 1936 in a battle with the Japanese-Manchuers on the border during a border incident. In July, 1941. 1 machine was in the 5th cavalry division, 11 in the 7th and 8th cavalry divisions, and 13 in the armored brigade.
In the 5th separate battalion of armored railroad cars from 1936 there were 9 reconnaissance armored cars-cars, which were reworked armored cars FAI on the railway. By August 9, 1945 (beginning of the Soviet-Japanese War) were replaced by BA-20žd.

The first heavy armored cars in the Red Army. The 4x2 BA-27 and the later version, 6x4 BA-27M. They are sharing the same armament.

Happy Lunar New Year PZC fans!
Today I have the last Red Army armored car I made. Very rare BA-11 heavy armored car. It was designed to replace the BA-10. But this new one didn't seem so good and only produced a few dozen.

Exotic automobile and tractor vehicles of the Red Army
In addition to tens of thousands of ordinary trucks the trophies of Wehrmacht in the early period of the Great Patriotic War were some examples of exotic, especially from today's perspective, autotractor machinery. Evidence of this, and often the rarest images of examples of equipment were, of course, photos from German albums.
Tractors SG-65 with gas generator set. For those who did not know, vehicles equipped with gas generators could run on firewood, coal, peat, cones and various combustible garbage.

Here are the last two armored cars on my list. The US army M1 scout car and M1 armored car. Both were developed in the mid-1930s and retired to training purposes before Pearl Harbor, which means non of them met the front line combat.
