In a game that went the entire 24 turns as a below 50 point draw until my last turn, Carthage finally came out on top. The cavalry heavy GB force was too hard for my foot troops to pin dowm directly, but, when contact was made luck played its part. I think not a single arrow pierced by elephants hide and rallys flowed like warm honey from the gods.

Persians needed better terrain. My guys had to wade through a storm of arrows but once they were at grips with the Persians, it was over. Edb1815 made the best of a tough matchup.

Our original map featured an awkward mixture of hill, forest, and rough terrain that our heavy infantry/cavalry armies didn't really want to deal with. The second map was......slightly better, but still broken up by rocks, marsh, and a bit hill, with forest on the flanks. Maneuverability was limited, and combined with a series of lucky die rolls, ultimately benefited the Antigonid phalanx and elephants the most. Good game to my opponent!
