Stones1985 Indian (Vijayanagara) 1470-1500AD
60-37
Indians advanced their force of a massed archers and close fighters with some Elephant units and lancers in the second line. Albanians moved cavalry further to the left and right with some artillery in the centre supported by small force of medium foot and archers. The Albanian cavalry on the left, supported by light horse, got the better of the Indian right before it could be supported by any of the elephants. As the elephants moved to pass into the front line and set up their charges they took a mauling from the artillery which disrupted much of this initial attack, routing a couple of elephants and weakening others. The success of the artillery exposed the remaining Indian massed bowmen to cavalry charges coming in from the left and right wings. The Albanians had a decent lead at this time, but elephants had generally rallied themselves and had charged down and routed some Albanian units. The initial success of the elephants came with the price that they were missing form the action for a few turns while they pursued and then moved back towards the action. These turns were crucial as the Albanians managed to mop up the remaining vulnerable units of archers to get to the winning score. At this point the 3 remaining elephants had moved to within 1 turn of charging into some melees and with their remaining units of close fighters had a decent position in the centre which the Albanians would have found difficult to overcome. Thanks to Stones1985 for a good game.

The Babylonians had a strong defensive position with a short hill beside a deep stream. Somehow, the Medians were able to overcome this with human wave tactics.

Latest table.
gfs26 has won Division C, undefeated
Too early to pick a winner in Divisions B. Vadim84 and Garokan are doing well, but there are a couple of others who could catch up
In Group A ericdoman1 has won 7 games from 7, but victory is not completely certain.

Div B
Karvon's Minoans drew with Challenge1's Urartians 11-5.
The Urartians deployed a large medium foot block screened by light foot in a large rough patch near the center with large mounted divisions on each wing. We had a large spear block as our center with heavy chariots on each wing screened by large light foot line. Not having any effective way to deal with the mediums in the rough and not wishing to be subject to their barrage of fire, we first pressed towards the right and the Urartian mounted drew back, while pressing on our left. We reversed and pressed on the left with the same results. We drew a little more blood in the skirmishing that took place in the process, but otherwise, there was no serious action as neither side could gain a position of advantage.

by 18 (48-66)
Ohh could have gone either way, Carthage's veterans and Elephant headed for the hill whilst their Cavalry raced to meet the Macedonian Cavalry / peltast onslaught, well the Carthagian cavalry fell far short of their enthusiastic anticipations and were either butchered or chased off into the sunset. The centres were well matched but unfortunately for Macedon despite early encouraging signs they could not secure the hill, holes appeared, filled by Carthaginian men and Elephants, meanwhile the Macedonian centre found its flanks/ rear exposed whilst their jubilant cavalry chased of the Carthaginian cowards....

by SawyerK
Division C
SawyerK leading the Roman 150-25 BC army with Bithynian ally
defeated
alexmike1 and his Seleucid 302-301 BC army with Lysimachid ally
by 63-44.
Both armies destroyed the left wing of their opponent, the Seleucids through a powerful Heavy Cavalry sweep and the Romans through frontal and subsequent flank attacks by Rhomphaia. In the middle, the Romans gained an advantage due to disruptions on the initial attack by two Legionnaire units. But the pikes held tough until flanked by units from the successful Roman right-wing manuever. This was a very close battle and could have gone the other way if the Romans had not been able to delay the Seleucid cavalry win on their left flank just long enough to gain victory.
