This battle took place several weeks ago, and it appears my original attempt at posting the result was unsuccessful. Due to the passage of time, I do not remember the sequence of events and cannot give a proper summary. But the close score indicates it was hard fought and close.

paulmcneil Venetians beat Hari72 Tartar 40:13

Blagrot (Jewish) beat Bagatrix1805 (Roman) 60% - 38%

The Praetorians, backed by cataphracts and 'regular' legionaries ground through the Jewish centre but a consistant rain of arrows wore them down and the Jewish flanks swung inward to finish off the depleted Romans, several units of which auto-broke without ever dropping from steady. Thanks for the game

Divison B

angusosborne (Danish) defeats Blagrot (Crusader) 68-52

I had the advantage of a steep hill to attack off, but while doing so Crusader knights smashed straight through the middle of the Danish line. Fortunately for us they pursued almost to the baseline and played no further part in the battle and we were able to push in and gradually overwhelm the enemy. Tough and good game.

score 61 - 55

This was an amazing seesaw of a battle, both sides fought almost to the last man, Indians were highly mobile and split up into a number of clusters. Incredibly the Indian infantry withstood the Roman infantry in a variety of combat situations. In the jungle they were excellent, eles made the breakthrough and the battle sprawled across the whole map. If there was another turn then Rome might have levelled it up, every turn was close like a couple of heavyweight fighters.

The base score is 50.

If 2 players of equal rankings play the split would be Victor = + 20 to 25 and defeated -20 to -25. There can be + or - points added/deducted to these score, based on the actual results. A bigger win would give the victor an extra few points.

A player with say a 2000 ranking defeated a player with a 1600 ranking, ranking points would be + 10 vs -10

If a player with a 1600 ranking defeated a player with a 2000 ranking, ranking points would be + 40 vs -40

These are approximate but it is self explanatory
