5.

If both players do not agree on the map on the first two rolls, they must use the map on the 3rd roll.

DIVISION C

Jtrillodmp (French 1480-1483) defeats mh5064 (English Continental 1320-1349) 61-32

The English foot knights were hard to break and after the initial charge it was a bloody melee with pikemen, knights, archers...but the higher quality of french pikes and the defeat of english cavalry made the victory possible.

Thanks to mh5064 because it is always a challenge playing against him.

Alexmike1 Egyptian 1200-1150BC beat Rob123 Babylonian 890-729BC with Arab 1000-313BC allies 41-8.

A river down the Egyptian left meant a straight face off between the opposing infantry forces with the Egyptian impact troops in particular doing well. The lighter, but more numerous Egyptian chariots on the right managed to avoid contact with the heavier Babylonian vehicles.

Thanks again for the game.

You have to set up a new multiplayer match. The original match is abandoned.

Blagrot (Jewish) beat Anderarcos11 (Huns) 63% - 53%

It was a simple plan, skirmishers and massed archers guarded by medium spears would take up positions along a shallow stream and shoot the horsemen until they went away. My cavlary would decide what to do a the battle progress, in the end this became my cavalry dying for almost no gain in a wide flanking maneouvre that mostly got them shot and finished off in melee by a group of huns they outnumbered. Thankfully the foot troops did the job and dragged home a victory, thanks for the game.

Blagrot (Jewish) beat SawyerK (Palmyran) 63% - 33%

A brutal game of tight careful positioning as the armies got tangled with each other, the softening of the Romans by the larger amount of Jewish skirmishers and horse archers helped slow the legions as did a range of cavalry making mischief. The battle turned on a breakthrough of mediums lead by cataphracts which surrounded the combat foot and tore apart the roman archers to press into the rear of the main fight. Thanks for the game and excellent chat

heidipie irish beat paulmcneil byzants in italy, 62 to 50 in very close bloody fight

one central steep hill , with woods and minor broken ground south and north respectively

irish kerns center right attacked biz skirmishers on the hill and biz horse in center turned to assist the skirmishers

meanwhile biz foot did march around hill to the south and some also hit the kerns on hillside

kerns all destroyed , but irish then hit biz cavalry who had ended up backs to the hill and swarmed them under

biz foot then all showed up to the south of the hill, and was also hit and sent off by heavy weapons and some kerns emerging to rear from the woods in south

to the north biz horse did serious damage to irish left but not enough to offset own losses

thanks for very challenging fight.....
Please note: Score was actually 62:54 in Irish favour NOT 62:50

Morat (Sarmatians) beat Bagatrix1805 (Romans) 57-31

Sarmatian cavalry sweep round both flanks very nearly came badly unstuck as the Roman Cataphracts got to work. In the centre the warbands had success against the legionaries, their sheer numbers allowing them to get at the flanks. In the end this was enough to get over the line.

Thanks to Bagatrix1805 for a tough fight.

Morat (Germans) "beat" Rob123 (Vikings) 62-58

So this was effectively a draw...

Early exchanges went the way of the Germans - their massed archers hitting the Viking lights hard. Flank attack on the Viking right made good progress. Then it all unravelled. German forces on the Viking left got cut up and destroyed and Viking berserkers went, well, berserk. In the end only a timely rally of a single unit of German heavy infantry denied Rob123 a win.

Many thanks to Rob123 for a great game. On another day it would have been his win.
