German Torch.
Finished the scenario.
Having to keep every unit alive is pretty difficult. I would remove this requirement from the Minor Victory.
US tanks are so bad, that if you keep a unit in front, it is killed in 1 turn, after being attacked by SU100 and T34-85.

This scenario is really different from the rest, and thus pretty interesting.

Finished North Africa.
It is strange to play with the original PG map, I think, exception the forests :-)
Concerning the scenario, it was interesting and fast moving. DV 17/30.
I disliked the enemy final counteroffensive. In two turns, I set up the two triggers I think. Moreover, when you do reconnaissance to have a insurance that nothing will attack you, and suddenly 5-10 tanks appear from nowhere and attack you, it is a bit disappointing. Moreover, I got the two reinforcement airwaves during two following turns, and that makes quite a lot of enemies when you thing that you have won.

It was an attempt to simulate reinforcements from the Middle-East. I'm looking forward to add the north african maps into the project after the release of AK. There won't be any forest tiles then ;). At least then i can close the "gap" of 1941-1943 in north-afrika. Pop-up messages between turns could also be interesting or after the player tripped a trigger.

Concerning the reinforcement, I like the concept, but not when they can appear between your lines in one turn...
If it is triggered by location, you could put the trigger far enough from the appearing troops, thus you have time to react...

Finished Middle East.
The two reinforcements from the north were pretty nasty... Even, if all the fort on the other side of the river gave me an indication that something could happen.
Nice map. It will be better when AK gets out.

Szenario 10: Dunkirk

[AXIS]

Total units: 81
Core units: 36
Aux units: 45 (cost=10999)

[ALLIES]

Total units: 106 (cost=24042)
Core units: 106 (cost=24042)
Aux units: 0 (cost=0)

DV: Station your Command Vehicle on a hex marked with C (near Dunkirk), MV: Capture all primary objectives

Reinforcements: no, Depot: no, Capturable units: yes (3)

There are two ways to win the scenario (there is no difference here between a DV and a MV). Either win the scenario by taking all the primary objectives, or station your Command Vehicle next to Dunkirk, to discuss the british surrender.

Finished Persian Gulf map. DV 21/35.
Interesting. I would perhaps increase the importance of the American, stating for example that a DV needs 4-5 surviving ground American units.

Finished the last map (India). DV 14/20.
The map is interesting and a change, with a wide front attack opposed by many units.

Concerning GTPG global, I am asking myself if something better could be done. Frankly speaking, since Breakthrough to Netherlands, I played with the same units. The only change was the addition of the Maus tank in my arsenal, even if I did not used it a lot. As a result, the campaign becomes quite repetitive, as you are always using the same unite. That is 19 scenarios in a row, without changing my units. Knowing that I went through 54 scenario to win in India, that means more than a third with the same weapons.

I think that those interesting maps could be better used if they were to be used in split campaign paths.
As an example the Middle east map could be really interesting for a North Africa campaign in 41-42, going through middle east and allowing you, after a won battle in India, to liberate the 6th army in Stalingrad, for example.

Afterwards, winning in Moscow in 43 could let you go for the west assault: Channel and perhaps UK in 44 and US in 45. I know that it is closer to the old PG version, but it lets you vary a bit more the material and be a bit more "realistic".

As a conclusion, thank you for this enjoyable campaign.

PS:
Do you have the new briefing to translate ?

Thanks Produit for playing till the very end. You are the first one who made the effort to post feedback for the campaign. It has been invaluable and several changes were made in the process. I guess i have one more update to do based on your last reports and that will bring this version to a conclusion. In the meantime i began with the new version and there for example the middle-east will lead to a "larger" Stalingrad in '42.
I hear what you say that the last packet of scenario's doesn't introduce any new units but that is because of the vanilla e-file. The new version will have more units and paper tanks in 1945.
Your suggestion for Moscow43 is a very good one, and if possible i might try to implement that a DV there will give you a choice to continu on the Eastfront (for player's fun) or move to the Westfront (the version where the USSR surrendered).
I got a few more briefings in the meantime and i'll send them over in the weekend. Thanks again for your dedication and all the time you spend on playing the campaign. Merci beaucoup :)

To promote the highest GTPG v1.02 is available at the forum where additional authorization is needed? Or is it allowed to play only the fans of the DMP team?
For me, a link to file sharing would have been preferable.

Wow, Nico you've really done alot of great work since last time I played. I just finished DLC East and am looking for a good time

How well does deducter's efile go with v1.02? I want to be able to play straight through without re-downloading, if you know what I mean.

I hear his efile goes good with DLC East, but I've played every campaign except '45 twice. I will play the 3 offensive path scenarios I missed while awaiting reply. Thanks

I redid the 39-40 scenario's with Deducter's efile in a dynamically linked campaign. It got quite a lot more challenging. I put this project aside for now awaiting the v1.06 and Deducter's efile for DLC West and North Africa.

Actually to play GTPG v1.02 with Deducter's efile you should replace the efile for every new year of the war while playing the scenario's at the eastfront.
