Good game and well fought. Learned a lot that game. Underestimated elephants, should have focused archer fire more even with the penalty. Also heavy chariots are def not line holders, especially when their only capability is Bow.

I think I did the math right - ending score was Byzantine 2% loss v. Bulgar 41% loss

Bad deployment match up for the Bulgars - sorry that went so quick.

Sgt0gre (Seleucid w/Parthian Allies) defeated phlewis (Roman) 64-58

It was a glorious act of both martial skill and bravery by the Seleucids. (OK, it was luck, but I'm writing it, so shhhh!)

My superior battle plan played out very poorly and in a see saw battle, I was able to use superior feats of arms to grind down the Romans and defeat them with great prowess and better looks! As my Seleucid army trudged forward with their Very Long pikes (length does matter) they we able to engage the Romans and hold them for the heavily armored cataphracts to grind the roman legions... But both flanks were defeated by the Romans, and it was only through some great luck, that the Seleucids were able to win.

As a side note, the Romans had more elephants than the Seleucids... That was unfair.

Honestly, it was a very, very close fight and could have gone either way as the score dictates.

On a fairly open battlefield, Ghurid missile fire disrupted enough elephants to allow successful assaults on the Indian bow units. One Indian elephant did a lot of damage but fortunately for the Ghurids, only one elephant pierced the line.
