Hi Asuser
Wow, I really like that what you've done with the mine pioniere, they're great. 8) I'm thinking of making the vanilla pioneer (on the german side at least) into more of a assault/Sturm Pioniere (probably switch minesweeper trait for minekiller and beef up stats slightly) and using your icon for the specialized Mine Pioniere unit (with minesweeper trait) that I want. Thanx so much for your efforts. I like your mine laying idea as well, but I don't know if it's possible. It's too bad traits aren't modable.

@Guille
Do you have the Wespe and Hummel in AT modus?
The pzIVK is very nicely done and a fine addition to the game. I didn't catch the mask for that unit unfortunately.

@Stan
The option of laying mines is by script only. For example: your minelaying unit moves to hex X, and the following turn mines will appear on hex Y or on several hexes.

Nikivdd:
I think I have those units in AT modus, if not, I will make them for you this weekend.
The PzIVK was not my creation... I think it was made by T2_2112, if I am not mistaken... But, I WILL make a mask and base icon for it, with the complete "unit pack" because I want this unit to be in my collection, and share it with everyone here. :-)

Answering the request made by Horst, here is the sIG 38(t) M made "switchable" in direct and indirect fire mode, in all the usual camo schemes, compatible with the Elite Unit mod!

Enjoy!

Now, the turn of a special unit, made still more special... Suppose you decide to explore the "What If?" side of military history, and you decide to spend a lot of prestige points buying a Maus super-heavy tank... You think that unit will make your forces unstoppable, but, except when you are on the defensive, you will quickly find that that the Maus is not very mobile, so, after a few turns, your advancing forces will leave it behind... Well, this problem is probably now partly solved, because here is the Maus tank, besides having been made a switchable unit (the powerful 12,8 cm gun and the 7,5 cm one could surely be used as artilley) we (Asuser and me) added a third option: the Maus Verladewaggon, which was a heavy duty railroad car specially made to transport that unit. With this, after you use the tank to make a breakthrough, and you forces start to advance quickly, you can place your Maus over a rail line, switch it to the transport mode and dispatch it to the area of the map you need it most (provided there are a rail connection to that place). To emphasize the fact that the tank is being transported, and it is not combat ready while mounted on the flatcar, the icon shows a protective canvas cover over the guns, an idea by and a work specially made by my friend Asuser (and no, you can't use this railcar as a super-armored train, but may be I will try to make a good armored car using a Maus turret, that would be another very "what if?" unit!! :-) )

So, I hope you have fun trying this "experimental" unit concept, as much as we enjoyed the making of it. You are seeing the result of another collaborative project.
I include also the image that gave us the inspiration for the making of this unit...
Have fun!

Hi Guille,
I like the camo version very much! The waggon could be added with a troop tent if you like.

Greetings!

Thanks to all members who post nice comments and say thank you! Constructive criticism is also welcome! :-) It is a good think, besides the fun of making the unit icons, to know that someone would give some use to the result of the work posted here! This is why I try to make some of the work I imagine, and to mix it up with requests made by users here, trying to give something to everyone... It is a hard work, but someone has to do it! 8)

Asuser: I always take note of your ideas, because they are very well thought... As you are the "pimping icons" king, feel free to make a modification on the graphic, adding a tent, or canvas covered supplies for the tank unit, etc... It would realy be nice to see a top-quality "pimped-up" Maus Verladewaggon! :-)

T2_2112: A K-9 Kradschutze! Good graphic... I think it would be necessary to "translate" it to the PzCorps world... It should be made more "PzCorps" looking (perspective, mainly). An a question: Would that German Shepherd dog be trained to fire the machine gun? :-)

Hi Guille 1434
Any info on the Hetzer flame tank icon?
No rush, just curious. :)

Thanks for the sIG!
I don't need arty or train mode for the Maus, but like the SS camo (SS_Maus.png) very much. If you got the time, can you create the Tiger II also in that camo? That would cover all German SE heavies then with this new camo.

Horts: thanks to you for you nice words...
There is no problem in doing a quick paint job on one of the Tigers II that I have in storage! :-)
By the way... I was looking to this icon and I think it can be improved somewhat... But this is another story!
Have fun!

And here is the Panzer IV K unit pack. Thanks to T2_2112 for providing with the basic icon!
The Panzer IV K was a projected development of the Pz IV series which made use of an inclined glacis plate, like the one used by the Panther tank, which improved its front protection.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the quick paint job, highly appreciated!
The other vanilla SE tanks can wait, but at least the heavy ones got the same special camo now.

And, bearing in mind that the Pz IVJ used additional armor skirts (schurzen) and that a Pz IVK was a development with improved protection of the Pz IV design line, it would not have been very out of place to make a version of this last variant also equipped with schurzen...

So, here it is, The Pz IV K with additional armor. Thanks again to T2_2112 for sharing the basic icon! 8)
