Awesome. Just checking. I've got rather a lot on the go at the moment, and I'm just making sure I'm keeping all my various balls in the air and haven't dropped anything I was supposed to be attending to urgently.

Saxon colonists have been clashing with Romano-British petty kings in central Britannia for some time. The Saxon king of Cant, Aelle, has thrown all his resources behind a bid to champion his kinsmen and add Mercia to his empire. He is met by an army marching east from the Brythonic stronghold of Dumnonia, come to assist the Britons in expelling the invader.

The Visigoths are expanding their capital in Toledo to better rule their peninsular empire. No one has bothered them, so they will fight no battles this turn (unless the Visigothic player wants to take the part of the Hunas, the Saxons, or another NPC realm.)


No rush on the battles - maybe aim to complete in 14 days, if possible? Let me know if anyone has any questions.

With the battle with the Dacians, should I be fighting with the Ostrogoth list or Dacian list? Wasn't quite sure from the description.

For the battle in Dacia, the Great Power ally should play with the local forces. Actually, historically, it should probably be the Gepid list. So use the Gepids.

There is a small inaccuracy in the game, in that it treats Dacia like a successor state (ie, the kingdom of Soissons) so long as it has the Romanic language, and thus gives it the nearest Romanic army list (the Byzantines, in this case.) I should try to fix that. I think what you probably had in Dacia at this point was a warrior aristocracy who originally spoke Germanic and fought Germanic-style, like the Franks, but was quickly taking on the Romanic language spoken by the rest of the population.

Thanks. I was thinking Dacian would be off given the list is several centuries prior to the period we were playing in. But don't know anything about the history of the period (the Germans did get everywhere, it seems!)

For the future last exam tomorrow (well for now) yeah, programme loaded, app open with game save 15 loaded although I imagine that has changed now. Can you pm me please to let me kow how to process my turns I'm clicking on stuff but some guidance would be cool. And nice way for you to play without any GM bias like other options on the forum. Clicking more stuff I assume you can raise armies etc for the amount of resources you have, correct? Also to go conquer somehting you have had to raise an army first, correct? What about raiding can that be done anywhere anytime or must you have an adjacent force nearby? Umm is there a manual that is easily obtainable?...Dh push the help button you dumb old fart

PS: A Peloponnesian war would be nice
