Hi Johan, it's probably even worse than two images per post at times. Sorry about that, I didn't think about the choking effect of so many images.

It's too bad there isn't a way for the system to "thumbnail" them, so that the initial display is quick. Some people probably don't want to look at every image anyway.

Would it be better if I just provided the link to where the image is stored?

Post the images please but try to keep down the amount of images per post instad split them so that you make one reply with image then another reply with the next image. This should mean quicker way to view the last reply on topic since it loads all images on the same page and a page is 20 replies I think by default

Alternatively you could upload them to imageshack or other image hosting site that supports thumbnails. This way while loading the page the browser loads only smaller versions of images (and so it is fast) and you can display them in full resolution upon clicking. For an example - viewtopic.php?t=8692

Napoleon never did fail to raise a new army (except after Waterloo, of course). Even if the troops were green they still fared well under his leadership (though not necessarily under the leadership of his Marshals). Looks like you've got a slugfest on your hands. Will the better army win out? Or win numbers carry the day? Keep us posted.

April 3, 1809 sees the English perimeter continue to shrink, as they are gradually forced southwards.

The front around Stuttgart saw a number of French attacks on April 3, 1809. While the Coalition continues to maintain a higher level of training and technology, the French numerical superiority is having an effect.

As the April 3/09 turn continued, the Coalition was able to destroy some French forces and stabilize the front line, at least for the moment.

April 23, 1809--Coalition forces have for the most part pulled back from Stuttgart, although a rear guard was left to slow down the French advance.

April 23, 1809--additional British forces have arrived in southern Portugal and Spain. For the moment, the French seem to be staying north of the river.

May 13, 1809 and the Coalition forces have pulled well back from Stuttgart

May 13, 1809 in Portugal and Spain. The weather may be sunny, but the outlook for the English is anything but. Their army is badly battered, tired and suffering from a lack of leadership (two leaders have been wounded already)

June 2, 1809 and the Coalition line begins to solidify. More units are moving up from the interior of Russia. Meanwhile, the French forces are coalescing around Stuttgart, which is once again in French hands.

Portugal/Spain, June 2, 1809---the British perimeter shrinks some more. Attempts by the English to capture Cadiz have ended in failure. Wellington is reported to be deeply depressed by the state of his army.
