Richard's Spanish made a valiant attempt at cracking the roman testudo, but time ran out... the two armies were neck and neck when darkness fell. no pts are awarded....

so in this campaign, if time runs out with no army broken, it is a push, and nobody gets pts. if it happens in the first encounter EACH PLAYER FACES EACH OTHER AGAIN USING THEIR OTHER ARMY, with 2 pts on the line. if it happens in the second encounter the contest is over, and no pts are awarded for the second encounter. the concept is that we are trying to rout the enemy out of the territory and capitalize on it...so a non-rout result doesn't allow advancement to, or into roman territory.

so are we still a little out of sinc on the game board...ian and the GM are due to face each other this round each getting a choice of armies, and TGM getting terrain choice....can't tell that you guys actually started. so you two can try and pound that one out if you wish.
check the link on page one to see the current scores and my best effort at cat herding.

should Ironclad and i start a game as to catchup ?

This is an uncharacteristically charitable report from the Roman general. I am willing to bet that his report to the Senate was entirely different.

In reality the Spanish were going down, and only nightfall (and various rallied, but half-dead, units) saved them from utter defeat.

Sorry i meant the game with Ironclad , its a Home Game so i pick the terrain , is that correct ?

My game with mouseketeer is almost finished ...

TGM defeated my Macedonians , challenge setup for his crack
at the Romans with his Brittians rabble , password = rome
