MikeMarchant's Low Countries 22/30 (73%) defeat Allendeuce's Germans 34/34 (100%)

The Germans began camped on a hill and it took a little while for the Low Countries to turn their line to face the corner. Once in good order they marched across the field and then stopped short of the hill. The Germans helpfully anarchy charged down the hill onto my pike and that pretty much put paid to them. Once I flanked on their left they were pretty much wiped out. My knights were not much use in this battle (there must have been something on TV they wanted to rush home and see) since they felt the best strategy was to anarchy charge an insignificant skirmisher exposing, their rear to the German pike in the process. They were very quickly running for home shortly after.

Bad luck, Jim. Why units would charge down off a hill like that beats me. It's a real weakness in FoG.

I took an early lead with the skirmisher battle and went even further ahead as the battle lines came to blows. Unfortunately it all went to pot after that as hoard after hoard of Jonathan's Kerns filled the gaps and took down my weakened units that had been hemorrhaging men .
