Do the Kommander units provide any benefits to other units?

In other words, it's explained that the unit must be on the map, which I understand to be that it must remain alive, but does it have any other game play purpose?

The Kommandeur is YOU. It does not have other gameplay function but if you die it's all over. It looks easy, just stay in the back away from the front in your nice cars, but............if Partisans, Paratroops or secret agents (in later updates) will find you, they will kill you! So you have to think about your position or keep troops around to protect you or it's maybe better to stay close to the front to have protection from your fighting units.

Well, this certainly incorporates an intriguing new concept into play. Assassination is a distinct possibility.

So far the GC 39 campaign exceeds the prior PHCAS Mod(s).

Yes you can. Only GC39 is reworked yet so if you have that you can play that, but you will mis things in the future.

In the first update USA units will be updated. In US Corps new Aircraft and transports will be added. If you do not have US Corps you will mis that.

Thanks everybody for the nice words. I am working hard for the first update now. I first have to add many units to the database now, starting with USA, before I can go on with new scenario edit. First update will come the 5th of June.

I use this mod with GME because I'dont want copy the complete game, where i begin the game ? to choose DLC 39 or to choose campain 39-45 ?
Hum is this mod compatible with GME ? ^^

Start DLC 39, the only reworked campaign so far. I have to tell you that I do not know if it is GME compartible, but there are a lot of changes in a lot of files!

I always use JSGME and i have no problems.
I'm scenario "Piatek" and I noticed that the Polish tanks R35 have a French flag.
After the GC39, will you produce the GC40?

Sorry for my poor English, GME can mean something other than JSGME?

They are one and the same thing: Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler, to give it its full name.

I used it to instal this mod, and have yet to encounter any problems. :D

would it be possible to include a list for the upgradeable units for each scenario in the ingame library? It would be helpful

I will have a look at it, but you can see on the symbol if you can upgrade or not. Core units with the symbol as showed here can, most of them, be upgraded, others you can not upgrade (unique units)
