Saving it for the weekend , I will need to calm my nerves with my army choice, especially with all those Seljuks

Seljuq isn't an ideal opponent.

Shall we arrange for additional cranberry juice?

And how many of those Seljuks will come with Dailami Allies? Some / most / all?

I blame the numpty who advised Tim to let them in. And no - it wasn't me. :(

I too fear the Seljuks and expect people wouldn't be taking them unless they were using 3 big BG's of Dailami.

I managed to avoid them at Britcon so who knows, mind you I do have some things that could give them a problem,(some might say my dice  ) and don,t forget the Ghaznavids probably have some as well ,although Pete will be trying to play them like shooty cav :D

Using Seljuks at Britcon one of my few victories was against Ghaznavid. It was a pretty one-sided game if I recall correctly.

That doesn't bode well then.

Thanks very much to Tim for another very well organised Warfare.

Thanks also to my opponents, David Bannister, Dave Finnigan & Dave Morrison - I just needed David Fairhurst for a full set of Davids but had to settle for Graham Evans in my last game - all very enjoyable games as ever.

Well done to Graham for the win. For me, the game turned when my Dailami failed to disrupt their OF Sp opponents at impact and were ground down as a result. That breakthrough could have made all the difference.

See you all again next year!

Thanks for a well run competition as always and to my opponents: Nik Sharp, Jon Akers, David Fairhurst and Dave Finnigan.

I seemed to win the games I expected to lose and lose the games I expected to win.

It just shows that being armoured doesn't matter if your opponent can keep rolling 5's in shooting and then you continue to roll 1's for tests even with a wasted IC in the army.

Mind you it was worth it in my game with Mr Fairhurst. Crazy dice nearly pulling me from the jaws of defeat to the brink of victory.
