Actually there is a bit of information and couple of pictures in latest White Dwarf (from 4th of October). But nothing specific about release date or so.
However, there was a confirmation for Steam release.

Still waiting for beta start. And updates :)

I remember when I first saw Warhammer...it was in a TV and they talked about Warhammer Dawn of war(the first one). From that moment I felt in love with Warhammer franchise(PC games such us,Dawn of war I,II,Chaos Gate,Rites of War...books,and the board game). On the other hand when i was younger, one of my first games I played was panzer general 2(damn, so many hours...). So when I saw Warhammer 40k: Armageddon - in my eyes combination of panzer general with warhammer, I was sold, jumped immediately to sign for the beta test. Looking really forward to play this game, from screenshots it looks great, so I hope the gameplay will be the same, or even better:-)

for me it was heroquest on TV, couldn't find it anywhere and my parents found something similar in a shop with a GW sign but could only find a game called advanced heroquest, played it! loved it, poor old amulet of solken kept getting pinched by those pesky skaven.
then my parents bought me SPACE Marine (the first epic game), and the horus heresy was introduced
from there the inner geek took over

I just hope we get the heresy as an add on campaign,

ill be happy even if its just final liberation with nicer graphics,
but as long as battle cannon shots don't sound like a bed spring from FL

Hm, no way I'm getting a White Dwarf only for a note on a Special Edition. When can we see this online, please?

"Epsom, UK – August 04, 2014.

Today we are overjoyed to share with you that Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, one of the most anticipated turn-based strategy games of the year, is getting ready for release! This detailed multiplatform wargame is now ready to enter the PC beta phase and we invite players to help us test it! By signing up for the beta, players will have a chance to be selected to be one of the lucky few, who will be able experience Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon before release and help us with the final touches, ensuring a smooth release later this year."

can we ask what is the hold up/delay?
I would just like to know please.
I'm assuming that a 2 month delay is pretty serious but its nearly a 10 month delay from original forecast of release in 1st Q 2014
has this game been pushed behind in the release schedule?
Is there a bug in the game?

Anyway, maybe there will be some news other than we are weeks away in a few weeks

In my experience, delays like this, and the silence from the developers and publishers rarely bodes well for any game.

I sure hope I am wrong, because like you all, I can't wait for this game to come out. But, I fear it will turn out to be a poorly designed game.

I hope I'm wrong.

I hope.

to be honest I smell a license issue problem.

I have to say it does look like something like that. If not something weird must be going on. Almost silence from the developers as to what's going on. When they do say something it' always "It's really close" or words to that effect. The best part of 3 months ago they opened beta applications and said it usually takes 2 weeks from that point to allowing the first beta testers to test. That is getting a little silly now. If it wasn't anywhere near ready they would have known and not opened applications. So back to my earlier statement - something is going on behind the screen of these forums and if there isn't why no beta and why the inaccurate we are close statements?

Hi all,

I think Armageddon is delayed and silent because they redoing/redesigned the significant part of the game. Just because it should not look like reskinned Panzer Corps. So I think it was and people at Slitherine redesigning to more suit WH40k.
So, they do not want us to tell this (just my guesses at the moment). Do not worry Slitherine would not create a bad thing :)
