Have a bit more faith in your understudy Master of Foot! I may not be able to guarantee a win but I can guarantee a good fight.

Richard and me are aiming for a 3 to 4 pm start so that we can be sure of a finish in time to clock the end games in the other matches/fuel up.

Of course is he actually going for border revivers as it's not on the list and therefore double bluffing :) mounted Xbows for all that lovely TYW mounted and 5s anyway for foot so nothing lost there ;)
Nah its got to be Later Imperial Spanish with Caucasian and Tuareg allies

I do have faith in you Grasshopper for I think the force is strong in you.
Mind you 4p.m. might be cutting it a bit fine depending on what time we leave Perth to travel South.

We usually leave Perth at 0830 so 1500 should be doable but Ive left some wriggle room for 1600.

Alasdair Harley Oxford Don't know yet (Down to 8 choices now) - something winged ;)
Paddy Bray Oxford Wrote the list so can't say - doesn't care as long it can go BOOM
Benedict Jones Oxford TYW French - Allo' Allo
Colin Betts MAWS Early TYW Swedish - armoured Sauna's and heavy birch branches
Charles Masefield Oxford Later Imperial Spanish - sangruria light horse
David Allen Central London Sudanese - mobile bazaars to haggle you out of a win...
Hunter Hope Perth Later TYW German - precisely engineered moves
Ian Poade LOA - cosmopolitan. Mix.
John Munro Perth Later Danish (though I hope not as I have had trouble beating this army the last 2 years at Britcon, so much fire power) - a nice Lego foundation of an army
Keith Spedding October Early TYW Swedish (Back to his roots) - see above...
Lynnette Maxim Burton Samurai - the only real warriors in the comp, as long as we can charge we are happy
Stewart Riddick Perth - see above...
Mick Hood Rotherham TYW German - see above...
Nigel Emsen Southampton Samurai- see above...
Paul Robinson Reigate
Matthew Poole Poole MAWS
Ray Boyles October Wargames Association Anglo Dutch
Richard Young Hapsburg Imperial
Simon Clarke Burton Sudanese
Stephen Stead Reigate Tuareg - our camels will spit on your boots :)
Simon Leray-Meyer Central London An army with men on horses and lots of them - clearly an average selection :)

Not even close to what I'm taking although like you I can't make my mind up.

Although I'm not sure it matters anymore given that you now have 25 points in the bag so everyone playing catch-up all weekend.

I was thinking that anyone invoking or accepting a nemesis challenge should drop their best score instead of their worst score.

cheers
Jim

[quote="nigelemsen"]:)

Apparently only Nigel me are daft enough to have nailed our colours to the mast at this point.

I have a fair idea what the other Perthians will be using as one (Stewart) is currently painting feverishly, another (John) is down to 3 possibles (not includingf Danish AFAIK) and another, Jim, (still to sign up admittedly) doesnt have a "tournament tiger" army but does have a very intersting one if he gets to come and chooses to bring it - I know cos I painted it

'bout time some of you boys and girls hoisted your banners alongside the dauntless two

IIRC Alasdair dropped 18 points last year so a couple of flesh wounds administered by doctor Nigel will equal the best any of the rest of us could do last year :)

IMHO thats more than just possbile as Nigels army looks like it could be quite handy against a mounted army. Hmmmm - has Alasdair just been roped in?

Samurai against a TYW mounted army is dead meat! Trust me having used one against Alasdair last year I thought I did well to take even 2pts off him. Those horse are up on impact and if they don't disrupt the foot T impact they just break off in the JAP! All the while artillery and dragoonz are making a mess of them and horse getting around the flanks.

If Nigel gets more than 2pts he'll have done better than me!

Err, didn't see your name on the list Jim. So some kind of stealth ninja army - Tupi?
.
I think JM is planning to confound us all again by taking the underwhelming TYW Swedes out of the ICU Four BGs of Superior CS with Regimental Guns, irresistable!

Well we can live in hope.

Not on the list but I'm in and so is Don, didn't see him on the list either.

Personally if I was Alasdair with that choice of 8....it would be the French Lou14th.

I don;t think Msr Allen will be using Sudanese.
In fact I rather liked his Roll call army which was very cleverly put together. So I think those going to Britcon and Koblenz are likely to use the same army for both competitions. Therefore I think Dave will also be French.

Me I don;t know but yes Swedes in the mix as are LISpanish plus a few others inc LI Austrian and even ECW Royalist.
cheers
Jim

This is really Kevin's area, but from memory I think we keep you apart for at least the first 2 rounds, and maybe 3 ...
