I would call the 1945 campaign "Patton's Asssault"

I'm guessing the answer's no. Someone post before I bring stormtroopers back (I hate seeing white bubbles next to each and every one of my threads when I check the list)

Looks like I'll be bringing the stormtroopers back here as well.

Aside from that, I am announcing that the Flammpanzer III will be appearing, as well as a BNC-exclusive unit: the Schwimmpanzer II.

The 1945-> scenario that was planned for the mod has now been moved to War of the World II, so that I can include the Korean War and other stuff to it, rather than just Patton blindly marching onto Moscow.

I hope to continue working on the mod once GC 14 is in a releaseable state, and WotWII is also nearly done.

new feature:

Resources!

Simply, there are three:

Oil - used to power machines
Arms - guns, grenades etc.
Metals - for Armour.

Each country will need some of each to maintain the war effort.

Each "Factory" hex owned by the nation will generate up to 5 arms/turn. These are represented by Factories.
Each "Oil Well" hex owned by the nation will generate up to 3 oil/turn. These are represented by Pumping Stations.
Each "Mine" hex owned by the nation will generate up to 3 metal/turn. These are represented by Mines.
However, if they are damaged by bombing, then they produce less.

Each unit class requires different sets of resources, so less units are best for your economy, while more units makes it easier to deal damage.

Infantry: Arms
Tanks: Arms, Metal and Oil
Recon: -
Artillery: Arms
AA: Arms
AT: Arms, Metal
Aircraft: Arms, Oil
Naval: Arms, Metal, Oil
All others: -

If you have more units requiring a certain resource than you have resources for that country, then you will lose 1000 prestige per turn. If you are low on oil, than all ships, tanks and aircraft will be locked at 0 fuel until some are disbanded, or a new source of oil is captured.

Very Good idea, BNC! I would like to see a resources system included in this game, it would give it more strategic depth... I am eager to see how is it implemented! Thumbs up!

OK, I've decided to make the system simpler.

Each unit now requires : 1 oil (trucks for infantry), 1 metals and 1 arms.

If you have more units than you are producing of something, then a penalty will be applied to the unit, in the closest resemblance to historical accuracy possible.

Failure to meet Arms demand: -1 ammo/turn
Failure to meet Metals demand: -15 experience/turn (would have been -1 health, but that would make metal way more important - now it is still damaging however)
Failure to meet Oil demand: -5 fuel/turn.

Also, each "resource" of the type will produce enough for 5 units.

The resources will be represented by special markings on the map, rather than units. I need someone to add three new tiles to each of the terrain sets, for dry, muddy and frozen.

Each needs to be based off a clear hex, but have the different appearance as required:

Arms - Factory (notably different to the Industry unit, which generates Prestige)
Metals - Mine (metals also sort of represents coal, so coal trucks are OK if they have a shiny silver substance in them)
Oil - Oil well (can be a direct copy of the Pumping Station unit, put on to a tile)

PM me or post here if you are interested in making those graphics.

Industry is still going to be separate to the raw materials, being units that generate income, while raw materials allow you to support units. Raw material generators cannot be destroyed, only captured, while Industry it is the reverse.

Major development of this mod will begin in Q4 this year, after I have finished making the GC '14-'18 for the WWI mod.

<bump thread>

This map is also going to be edited for use in the WWI Grand Strategy scenario. 1936-> map will still be made, but not just yet. Morale will be the only major feature going into the WWI map.

Post Someone!
(or I use stormtroopers)

Actually, It's one mod with more content than the official game (or at least that is planned)

Back to the 1936 topic, I have decided to add some form of research into the mod (LandMarine, your dream of
LandMarine47 wrote:Hearts of Panzer Corps III, Their Finest Wehrmacht!
is pretty much a reality now!)

Basically, Germany, UK and Russia will each have 2 major research stations. Each turn, there is a small (~4%) chance of getting a free 'prototype' unit that is very powerful. If you lose them, they are gone forever.

Ideas for Germany:

~1936: Ju87
~1938/9: Pz III or IV
~1942: Elefant
~1943: Me262 / V weapons
~1944: Maus / Go229 Flying Wing.

and Russia:

early: BT-5
1939: T-34
1942: IS-1
late: T54-55

UK and USA:

1937: Spitfire
1939: Crusader tank
1941: Cromwell
late war: A-Bomb / P80-Shooting Star / Gloster Meteor

Along with the 18th Century Mod, this one is going as well.

However, it is not all lost - most of the stuff for this mod is being moved into War of the World II, including resources and the 1936 start.

I will make a new topic in a few days for WotWII, once I have some new stuff to show.

I thought that this was a dead topic.

Anyway, Rearmament don't exist any more. Most of its resources are in my large WWI mod. And anyway, 18th Century was an idea that never became anything.
