I'm a little bit confused: where can I download version 1.20? Auto-Update says I have the latest version but this is version 1.20 not version 1.21.

Feels like the same situation a few weeks ago: beta is expired (again) and savegames won't work in version 1.20 (again). How will it go on? And when?

Groundhog Day, isn't it?
My guess referring to the completion of the patch was the last minute, but I was totally wrong...
Any bets what Slitherine is working on this time, which has received sudden priority?

Sorry guys - it has been slightly more complex than we'd hoped. This in combination with all the release work has been really hard to get finished off. We have been reviewing builds but we're not happy yet. We decided to try and update the game menu to be multi language a few weeks ago and this has taken more time than we expected and is delaying things. It was supposed to make the process easier as the text will be stored in text format rather than embedded in to the image but it created some new issues. Once solved it will be easier going forwards but with hindsight it was probably not a good time to try and make changes with everything else going on.
We will get there very soon. Apologies for the delay

Yes, now we know. Is there any chance to get a new single exe-file like Rudankort did with beta2 to resume playing with version 1.21-savegames?

Considerng that they already have their hands full I'd say just take a PzC break and not force even more work on Rudankort to make a separate untested exe. Let them finish their work, test it and then release it.
I understand everybody's impatience here but the more we rush them the higher the chance that they push things out earlier than they are comfortable with and miss several bugs.

How about a new beta exe with a prolonged expiry date (just the date, no other changes)? Shouldn't be a problem, should it? So players could play at least...

Yes it is a problem. You have to build that exe, make sure it works for the players, at least test it a little bit. And that takes (my guess) at least 4-8 man hours to do if done correctly and depending on what the state of the code it right now. That's one day better spent on other stuff. I don't want a thousand betas I want a stable, perfectly polished final exe.

Well, at least we are waiting because of actual changes to the patch, there were a couple of situations when a dev completed a patch and it was just stuck in Matrix upload procedures for some time
