Hey KingT, Welcome onboard.
For the Strategic Campaign Map, scroll to the map you want in this forum, using your regular browser (probably Safari), then press and hold the map until you see "Save Image". Click "Save Image". Press the Home button on your iPad, switch to the "Photos" App and choose "Camera Roll". The map that you just saved should appear as the last image in the roll.
For the Battle Maps... Hang on... We haven't got there yet!! However, the individual battle maps will broadly reflect their sectors from the campaign map, eg. roads, rivers/canals, bridges, forest, urban areas, fields, etc...

I'm referring to the actual game maps. I assume they're all custom scenarios that need to be downloaded on the iPad in order for me to play them. So where do I get those?
Thanks!
Later edit, let's see if they'll let me add my email address now:
kingt.battle@gmail.com
Even later edit, I know how to get the scenarios on the iPad. Just give me the links, my orders, and a tank, and I'll be on my way to Paris

Herr Feldmarschall Leci & Lord General Brummbar... It's decision time...
Chat with your team mates and please PM me with:
i. Leci - Which German BGs (available June 6th) you want to put where (one German BG is allowed in any major sector; major sectors are capitalised on the Strategic Campaign Map)
ii. Brummbar - Which Allied BGs (available June 6th) you want to land where (two Allied BGs are allowed to land on each of Gold, Juno, Sword and Courseulles; AB and RM BGs can paradrop anywhere)
To get into the habit of prioritising orders, please send as follows...
Example Allied orders for June 6th:
1st. 8/3 attacks Courseulles
2nd. 7/3CDN attacks Courseulles
3rd. 69/50 attacks Juno
4th. 3/6AB paradrops into Hillman Battery
5th. 5/6AB paradrops into Merville/Franceville
NB. You'll note that you also have 6AL/6AB available to you on June 6th, but you don't have to deploy it immediately if you don't wish to do so. If you glance back to the post with the Strategic Campaign Map, you'll see that Merville/Franceville and Hillman Battery both generate +1 Artillery bonuses for the Germans, so you would deny significant artillery support to the enemy if you can take those sectors...
Example German orders for June 6th:
1st. 914/352 defends Gold
2nd. 915/352 defends Juno
3rd. I/736/716 defends Sword
4th. II/736/716 defends Ouistreham
5th. Ost 642/716 defends Bayeux
etc...
NB. Strong recommendation to defend Hillman Battery and Merville/Franceville (these sectors generate +1 Artillery bonus for Germans) as well as keeping Allies off the beaches (Gold, Juno, Sword and Ouistreham generate +1 Artillery bonuses for Allies). The Allies receive 2 Naval Artillery bonuses, per day, which can reach as far inland as the second row, from Vaux sur Aure to Ranville. BA's naval arty is devastating so keep your units mobile if you don't want to see them munched...

Thanks KT, have ur email address now.
Unfortunately, we need to do something special to roll out GJS'44 for iPad, and this will be the first time that we do it, so there's no easy way to let you inside yet. For now, I'd say use the Strat Campaign Map as an approximate guide of what to expect on each battle map.
To give you a flavour, each map is 40x40 with five VP flags... Here are Granfali's superb original GJS maps for Courseulles beach and the city of Caen... In some cases, Granfali is letting us directly share these maps (muchas gracias to a master craftsman!). In some cases, we will modify the original maps to match closer to the Strat Map. And as we fight deeper into Normandy, we'll have to create some battle maps from scratch.

Great stuff, and great maps! Can't wait to test them out.
Can't you just upload them to dropbox or something and give me/us the links? There's a way to install such custom maps on the iPad, all I need is the download link.

For now, forgive me but I'm going to say "not yet"... meaning, I've got to do some real work, lol... But you've just talked yourself into an essential job KingT!!
If we send you the MP Campaign folder for each turn, do you know how to upload it so that it's available to iPad users? If you do, would you mind becoming a GM with me and Brummbar... It would help us heaps if we could just Dropbox you the folder to upload for everyone else.

Ah, so there are more files to upload? Doesn't it all come packaged as an .LST file? If it does, then anyone on the iPad can upload the scenario, see image below.

Otherwise I don't know how to do it, maybe jailbreaking the iPad and getting access to the filesystem of BA could do it, but I'll look into it. So I need more details about what needs to be uploaded and where.
Unfortunately I don't have time to be a GM, but I'll definitely look for ways to have the maps uploaded to the iPad.
Later edit: I haven't done any BA modding (only have the iPad version), but if you package the maps like described here:
http://www.slitherinebravo.net/GameWiki ... w_features and provide us with the .LST file, wouldn't we be able to download all the updated maps for each day of the GJS scenario?

@KingT, the short answer is yes, once we've got the folder for June 6th, we just prep it as per Slith's link above, so iPad players can download. But each day of the GJS'44 Campaign is unique, depending where Commanders decide to deploy their BGs and bonuses, so the June 6th folder doesn't exist yet (Leci & Brummbar will send me their deployment orders soon). Once that's done, I'll setup the battle maps and create a tailored MP folder.
It would be really great is someone could volunteer to look after processing each day's MP folder to prep for iPad? Anyone? Don't be shy

If I read everything correctly I think it would work like this:
1) create CPF files for daily operations
2) upload each CPF file to Dropbox
3) create a LST file that would contain all the Dropbox links from 2)
4) upload that LST file to Dropbox
5) share the file at 4) with iPad players.
6) rinse and repeat steps 1) through 5) for each new battle day.

Trust you to jump the gun, M!

We're going to leave bonuses
until after Leci & Brummbar respond with their June 6th deployments...
Once that makes sense to everyone, then we'll add in the bonus allocations...
We'll do moves & bonuses all together for every turn after that...
PS. Happy shopping!

I could definitely take care of uploading to Dropbox and sharing the files with iPad players. BUT: In the list above I can do it from step 2) and that's only if I'd be able to create the LST file myself. Otherwise I wouldn't really be able to help out as much as I want to.

Thanks KT, I think it needs someone who's running on Mac or PC to do this, but worth checking with Pip just in case? Am grateful for your help.

Ps.Would you like a copy of our Strat Map as, eg. a Photoshop .PSD, so that we can move your icons around on it, without affecting the background layer? Your version is looking smooth...
I can send it to you in pretty much any format you'd like, if that's helpful? Your mapping skills look a heck of lot slicker than mine...
