bebro wrote:I have another suggestion though: could future downloads be cleared of all those vanilla gfx that are unneeded, since the game can just use the originals in these cases? I mean esp. the stock units - when I first checked the units folder it said 640 units

It seems the dl contains all stock units - these could be removed, unless they were changed. I had lotsa vanilla stuff in the first USMC dl as well, but got a request to remove the unneeded files since they just blow up the dl. I thought it's generally a good point.

I know these days with fast internet it isn't such a huge prob anymore, but esp. when you have the dl at some filehosters that limit bandwith for *free* dls it could make a difference, and for modders who want to look through the files to see if there's something they could use it can be a tad confusing with all those original files. Just a thought :)
+1 :)

Good suggestion, thank you for the tip!
It will need some work to do it, but it is logical.

Maybe I would implement it in the briefings, but I don't know the "technology", how to implement pictures in there.
bebro wrote:I think it would be nicer to incorporate the "overview" map (that is when you click the strongpoint) into the briefings instead, but it is a matter of taste rather, and changing it would also mean quite some work, so I fully understand why it's made like this now.

Played the second one - Malaga: DV 14/18.

I remembered this vaguely from Nico's IC, but had forgotten about that counter attack. Lost two infantry - fortunately just the weak vanilla, not the Alpini or Bersaglieri. And they were completely green, so no xp loss either

I wondered a bit about the RO57 being available, I thought that came around only later (and IMO should be stronger then). Though maybe I'm missing something, there were lotsa aircraft tested during the SCW. I didn't do any further research on this type....

Thanks for the feedback!
I think, the weather and the (possible) luck of the republican's submarine makes wider circumstances of the challenge of the scenario. Still, it is very useful to make the DV (extra T-26 unit from next scn)! 8)
Hmm, I don't know, in which difficulty you play the demo, but the two core inf loss I would consider a serious loss - SPOILER - I sold one of them later and bought heavy equipment from that prestige, while the other has been upgraded to Alpini (or sold the inf and later bought an another Alpini? I don't remember. :) ). Well I played on Rommel, where you have absolute minimum prestige, so that's why I asked in which difficulty you play. Maybe on easier level, the prestige is not as big issue as on Rommel.

I looked now for the RO57. Actually I didn't look yet for it - it was in original IC and there are (will be) many better choices of aircraft to use, so... I think, I will take it out, because it has not much role in the game.

Well, as said with the first scn I started in the third difficulty, so quite low. I'll restart anyway when the full campaign is out, right now I'm just playing a bit around. :)

Started to play the next one - Albania. Found no probs. After the first couple of turns though I think now I should have chosen a higher difficulty indeed, since I have no problem at all replacing stuff.

Well, maybe I'll not take Rommel, but FM or so. At least that's what I'll try when the full campaign is out :)

But those flame tanks rock ;)

We're getting there. I send the final scenario's to Uhu a few weeks ago, they were tested, then tweaked in the meantime and now under Uhu's re-evaluation and testing.

Good point - well in the last weeks I spent with another tasks my time - there were days I even was disconnected from computers. :D
But do not fear, the mod will released: only a few scenarios remains to playtest + I need to edit the genial intro of DMP's Afrika Korps - it fits full to IC 2.0 with the all-Italian-content!

Folks, don't give up the hope!
I know, IC 2.0 could have been already released, but I had no opportunity to play/test it much in the last months. Still I don't make any thoughts to give it up, after so many work, so please be a little more patient. It will be released.
Thank you!

Thank you Uhu!
I think AK and the GTPG2-Testing is my prime priority, but i am sure that i will play your campaign, when its finished. The first maps were too nice not to continue the campaign. I want to see, how can i manage the disasters in Afrika and at river Don.
Dont care, i am waiting. :-D

Good news!!

I playtested the scenarios of the "defender" path (Second El-Alamein, Kasserine, Sicily, Rome), so only two more - the final - scenarios are left. Than I need to find out, how to edit an overlay for the intro video (I never made such thing...) and incorporate the minimaps into the briefings, than making a youtube "trailer" and than it will be ready and released!
