I saw the challenge and before I got into it, I wanted to look and make sure the army I needed was in ROR...it was not. So I looked for Kush..nope. As I said I am somewhat computer challenged, but I have played a number of online games where you have to D/L turns etc (Dominions 3 etc).
I DID extract the armies from the link you posted that the guy said he was having problems and it worked fine for me. I then went to my computer/program files/Slitherine/armies and there were a NUMBER of armies and included was Ror etc. I just picked and dropped the armies in the correct file. But as you know now, they do not show up in the army list for those books.
Any clues?

It sounds like you're doing everything right. Here are a couple of screenshots from my computer that might help. The first shows the Documents Library in Windows 7 where FoG armies are located. The Rise of Rome folder is indicated.
This next shot shows the actual armies inside the folder.
Just drop the army you need into the right folder and you should be fine. You may need to restart FoG, however.

I don't know which version of Windows you are using, but in Windows 7 you would find it in:
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Documents\Slitherine\FieldOfGlory Armies. Click on your
Documents folder, then
Slitherine, and you will find folders for
FieldOfGlory Armies,
FieldOfGlory Saved Games, and
FieldOfGlory Scenarios.

Thanks for the screen shots!!! I wish it were that simple as I am still using XP and it is nowhere near what that looks like. (I wish I nknew more so I could give you screen shots). I have a LOT of armies in a folder and inter-spaced it say RoR etc, and I drop them in the RoR etc....but to no avail. I do not seem to have separate folders that says Ror SoA etc. Need to go to the gym for 3 hours now (it is 5:30 AM) as Rugby Season has started last Saturday and the coach is a stickler on the gym and practice.
Will return and get this dang thing done with your guys help. THANKS to all for helping, it is a great community on here

As some of you guys are having trouble installing the armies Klaus made, we thought a possible workaround would be to have you re-create these armies yourself in your own copy of the DAG. To simplify that, I made screenshots of the armies.
Supervark, you're to use a Jewish Army. According to Klaus, it's actually a Later Republican Roman army with Jewish allies from the Rise of Rome book. Here's what that army looks like. (It's in 2 parts because the DAG screen was too big to get it all into one image.)

OK, Grudge, please see my post above to Supervark. Here are the images you'll need to recreate your particular army in your own copy of the DAG and thus avoid further problems in trying to install the armies Klaus pre-made. You're to use a Bithynian Army, actually a Later Republican Roman army with Bithynian Allies from the Rise of Rome book. Again this image is in two parts. Just take a look at the image and recreate the army yourself!

The Senate of Rome announces:
Legatus Burinus Agricolae has been defeated by Galatian raiding parties.
Nevertheless he has been awarded 1 pts for completing the battle.

Indeed my report is carbon copy with that of batesmotel...
The bitinian army mostly composed by MF light lancers was badly defeated by the galatian raiders. Only the (few) romans proved to be a serious match for the galatian while the bytinians dissolved even with the uphill advantage... Also in this case the bitinian general was killed in action (perhaps committed suicide due to the shame for the failure).
This army needs a very experienced leader or a very dense terrain to perform well. I apologize the senate for the poor performance but I hope they will not assign me to the salt mines in sicily...
regards
Burinus Agricolae

Hail mighty Caeser I would ask if i can be allowed to prove myself worthy of Rome with a mission. I have registered to play but have been advised to ask you directly to seek fame and fortune on Romes behalf.

ATTENTION
New commands will be assigned on Wednesday.
All active commanders will be given new orders, those who just joined in like turk and rexhurley will fight for the glory of Rome too.
Cheers, Klaus
