If your intent is only to use one camouflage set and replace the vanilla skin, then just rename the files of the camouflage set like airborne mentioned in his post. You don't have to edit the equipment nor efx files. With GME, those files will have to go to:
Panzer Corps\MODS\your name mod\Graphics\Units

Hmm, actually, the updated archive is supposed to retain the filenames of the original icons and instead is supposed to put them into folders. Doesn't that work?

Flak, could you please update the original post of the thread with the new download link? I think most people will download the wrong file as it is now...

Yes they do, least the names look same as PC to me. I downloaded that file, and put it in GME, but still no changes to the game.

Then your issue is with the folder structure.
I'll tell you on how this can work using the Ambush Camo mas an example:
Create the folder structure inside Panzer Corps\MODS:
Ambush_Camo\Graphics\Units
So the complete address folder is:
Panzer Corps\MODS\ Ambush_Camo\Graphics\Units
Inside Units folder copy all the files that you unzipped from SkinnedIconsMk2c\Ambush_Camo

And have you installed correctly GME? Have you any other mod working or this is the first time you're using GME?

Yes. Most of the issues reported about the GME usage its because of that.
If the game (Panzer Corps) structure folder isn't 100% respected, the mod won't work.

flak and rezaf, I'd like include one of the camoed Opel Blitz variants in the USMC mod, since it's similar in appearance to some Japanese trucks. Are you ok with that? I'll credit you both.

As far as I'm concerned - and I'm sure flak will agree - everyone is free to use everything from this camo set.
If it's for a mod which is to be redistributed on it's own, a mention in the credits is considered good sportsmanship, but not strictly required either.

Flak seems to have trouble logging into the forums at the time being, but like I wrote, I'm sure he'll agree with what I wrote.

airbornemongo101 wrote:The png's just need to be re-labeled

IE:
The vanilla png for the Elefant is:

Elefant.png

The Ambush Camo that Flak and Rezaf made is labeled Elefant_Ambush_Camo.png,,so you would have to re-label the "new" png to match the old and overwrite the old skins for the skins to take affect.
. Which is very easy to do.

Of course make back up's of the vanilla Feld skins so you can use them again later.

I dunno if you could relabel them in a seperate folder and use the GME to enable the skins. I personally have never tried it, If you do that, the new file directory for the skins has to match the games.

The other way is to make a whole new unit in the editor,,which quite frankly while easy to use,, is alot more involved due to needing to make sure every little thing is good-to-go
When I made the skins, I had to name them something individually. So I just picked a random name for the skin and Rezaf used it on the icon of the unit as well. That way we can know which icon and which skin it has. ABMongo OR MONGO is correct. :D It is much easier to make/create an entirely new unit for the appropriate camouflage Icon you want to use and name it the name you want to use. You do it all in the Equipment editor. If you want the unit to be unique, you must remove the bonus trait. That way the game will not "award" you one of these units if you have named it something special individually. Also I do not recommend "renaming or replacing" the vanilla icons in your original folders. Much easier to just add new units you create. ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR FILES before doing any of this.

I FULLY CONCUR AND AGREE WITH REZAF ABOUT SHARING EVERYTHING. I am the lowest in rank of talent in this endeavor, but it is my philosophy to share anything and everything I have that is approved to share with anyone else. That way the game expands, grows and becomes even more than anyone could imagine. When I think back even to August of last year and how much has been added, how much the game has expanded, how much more enjoyable it has become when it was so enjoyable before in the vanilla version............I am very pleasantly surprised and enthused.

In fact, I truly wish that Slitherine would make use of some excellent custom icons we now have like the Romanian units, Brumbar, Storch, Slovak units, etc. If it is legal issues, I say to heck with lawyers. This is supposed to be FUN!.

Since all I did was make some skins, not hard work, I feel a little modest about it. But you are certainly welcome to use anything Bebro. Think of the icons as yours to use. I found when I started using them in the game, it was like seeing a girl in a one piece swimsuit versus a tiny thong. Just not the same view.

Yes, Kate is on my fantasy list and has been a very long long time. I dreamed of her crawling through that pipe in Underworld in a thong, maybe no thong!

Mongo, Roseanne Superskank has NEVER been in my dreams, heart or pants, even in a nightmare. I'm thinking maybe something like the blonde Dr. Elsa Schneider (Alison Doody) that tried to knock off Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade, or say even better, Diane Krueger, Eva Green, Rebacca Romjin, Mila Kunis, Olivia Wilde. You know the type

just wondering how do you make skins ive have found some very good ones on the net . The amount you guys have is the best ive everhad the pleasure of playing in a game so far. just found some new schemes from an old man "Earl Grey Collection" how could one make a cammo scheme and add it to the units? as is done in the download you have.
