"Outed as an Oddball"?
"Swarmin' in the mornin'"?
"These troops were made for Walking"?
"Fire and Forget"?
Perhaps we need a box on the standard army-list form for players to declare their category...

Unfortunately Stephen Stead in Greece and Rome has just let me know that he's unwell and will be unable to attend.

That's a shame. He did warn me that it was possible but I was keeping my fingers crossed.
That means (subject to any other drop-outs) that I will float Lawrence Greaves and Jim Gibson (I've had a drop-out in the FOG:R too) back into the DBMM Huns and keep the numbers even.
FOG 25mm at Warfare

Unfortunately, this year space restrictions have meant that the FOG 25mm competition will be in one of the squash courts rather than in the main hall with everyone else. I am very sorry, but it was bounced on me at the last minute - we had 6 tables in the squash courts to fill, and the FOG 25mm is the only 12-man competition.
The downside is being away from the rest of the FOG players. The upside is a bit of privacy and cameraderie.

)
The problem from my perspective is that clearly Simon can't umpire in two places at once. If any of the FOG 25mm players is able to put their hand up and volunteer to player-umpire, that would be very much appreciated! Preferably two, because that way (a) the load is shared, and (b) there's an umpire to rule against the umpire, if you see what I mean.
Cheers, see you tomorrow.

So what happened to dave saunders and keith pullens armies between publishing the r&r's and turning up at the comp?
The alex mac transformed into a dominate roman and the foederate turned its coat also to a dom rom.
Just asking...

me? nah. i was always an Alexandrian Macedonian army right from the start. chosen because it's my favourite paint job, not for any tactical reasons whatsoever. and I've had my best ever result! freely admit the opponents i had were very lucky draws though. very.
come to think on it. Keith Pullen's army was still his principate army just as he always uses.
some good new competitors coming up on the inside...hehehe. move over Mr Ruddock make some space....
dave.

Well why don't you put the results up here since you have them Dave? Then we can all tell you how inaccurate they are.
Or more likely just how inaccurate you are

Mea Culpa!

Transcription error on my part. That's what comes of being hyper-efficient and copying and sending-out out all the results for all 6 competitions that night after packing-up the show.
Ah well, 26 out of 28 right ain't that bad...

Saunders.....How did you finish above me when I wupped you by a narrow margin in rnd 2.
How much did you pay Finnigan to roll over and die in the last rnd.
30 pieces of silver and a blueberry muffin?
Sheesh!! Think I'll find myself a new doubles partner!!
(Actually, as threat's go, that's not one of my best)

I know its a theme but thats an incredibly narrow spread of armies! Is it 9 Dominate Romans?
How many LCH's did the British have?

Holy Benny Hill.
Am i reading this right that there are bascially no players that broke more than 1 opponent's army?
I see several close. But...So was this just a Benny Hill event or were rounds only like 1 hour 45 mimutes?
