OK - I have been playing the '39 campaign at normal level and have just finished off Stalingrad.
Impressions:
A low fuel/Ammo warning would truly be a help as I have wasted so much time, and planes, with my oops management oversight. Even a mouse hover fuel/ammo gauge would help. Maybe it only kicks in when ammo down to one?
I actually LOST the attack in the west by being to cautious and I lost air superiority to the allies. Air cover really does make a difference. Well done.
My overall impression of the AI is that it responds only in a tactical way. No matter the scale it only is concerned with local counter attacks. I do not need to worry at all about my flanks. Weak AI or intentional?
Lastly, core units. I have not been able to determine which units are my core units. Are they coloured differently or am I missing something? BTW, I have a colour deficiency so green/brown look the same. I know I am in the minority but something else to consider.
