It has to be said, I'm not always sober when I play, particularly Friday - Sunday  I don't drink Monday - Thursday, honest! No really, I don't!

I don't know. It seems to me the AI has problems with anything but a fairly flat map. I had a came with a long body of water that was impassible. The ai ran up to it like it could go across. I had bows and slings on the other side and just pummelled unit after unit.

Ever DAG came I played today the ai left a large number of its best troops in the rear and came forward with lights and cavalry/elephants and only about 1/2 the MF and HF. I suppose it is protecting its base, but seems a bit much.

The ai does not understand the LF/LH turning of arch to better its shot odds. I played against the ai, Parthian, with my army, Armenian. We had similar armies, but the ai would move its LH with their rears facing away from me and then shoot. I wound up evading 17 units off the map because the ai was perpetually evading backwards against other LH. I would suggest not giving the ai the penalty for shooting out of its arch and let the LH autoturn when shooting.

the cavalry is a bit suicidal.

essentially, unless it is an army of say pike or some heavy army, the ai does not seem to understand keeping its forces together when the are a mixed bag.

Please take this as constructive advise and not a slam on the developers.
Cheers

Note to developers: If you aren't improving the AI to WIN then you aren't improving anything.

I often wonder why games like Conquest or SLAY can give me a challenge and beat me quite often and games like these can't. I do commend your Conquest developer that's one of the best games I play from Slitherine along with SPARTAN v1.013. Please get back to the basics and make great ai's before making the game.

Just a very quick note.

I tried the game on beta test for Field of Glory core engine (so without Rise of Rome and all the others add ons) and, after a while, just yesterdey i bought all the add ons.

Well i can say for sure that AI is really improved from the game i tested to the game i have right now, even in DAG battles AI makes a good purchase of units and handle them in a good way (for example in games like Steel Panthers where AI have to buy units sometimes it makes some strange buy :? ).

Obviously the AI should be better and better (see Fog road map for infos) but Slitherine and "her" programmers do show me a real work to improve the game with every patch and add on.

Ahhhh censorship at its finest. I was COMPARING AI's of the two games and you censored it because you are afraid very afraid that Guardians of Graxia is the better game with better AI. But this is usual of game forums. When they get scared of other game competing they censor anything about it, throw it off into some oblivion of their forum nobody will read or just *delete* it. I never thought you would be like Paradox forums and go "hiding" things or "delete" them because you are afraid.

Feel free to post to the general discussion forum about any game, but not here. This is a forum for CEAW. I've told you the rules so it's up to you if you obey them or not. Your posts are intended to be inflammatory and not much else. What we've done is not censorship, it's forum management. I'm sorry if you don't understand but it's our forum and we can decide how to manage it :) To be honest I think you understand perfectly why we've done this but feel posting like this is the best way to get a reaction.

I don't remember the last time I removed a post (other than spam). You only ahve to look at all the other negative comments you have posted (some on games you have not even played) and see they have not been deleted to know the forums are not censored so this kind of post is only intended to get a reaction from us and others. Because of your actions I am now closing this thread to avoid this going completely off topic. Again - something we almost never do. Treat this as some sort of special achievement on your part.
