Another ??:
So, at start, Rome is naturally allied with 3 provinces that make up Numidia and 2 provinces that make up Iberia. Does this mean when I want to recruit a second army next turn, I get:
400 (Rome) + 200 + 200 (my two other Italian provinces) + 100 + 100 + 100 (3 Numidian provinces) + 100 + 100 (two Iberian provinces)???

no, you are only allowed to recruit allied from those province, and you get diplomatic reaction (cassus belli) if other faction enter in it
to get 100, you must garrisoned it.

What do you mean "recruit allied" from that province?
That I can recruit an army using the Iberian list? I gain the extra +50 if I garrison it to use recruiting from my own list?
And to garrison I have to first move an army to there, yes? Or can I just build 50 pt garrisons for them and plunk them down there?

no, that mean your army could use Iberian allied in your roman army list.
by opposite if all allied province are garrisoned, you loose this abilities.

you are not oblige to garrison to use it.
but if you garrison you earn 100 pnt instead of 50

you need to move first

Ah you must be the King of Macedon, we can not prounounce your name but it reminds us of how our tummy felt after a long nite of feasting and drinking.
Once you clean up your map you will see our army awaits on the single aproach march you have to our humble lands

Re movement - what happens if two powers at peace each order an army to move to the same province?

the second one will not be able to enter if they are not allied.
if they are allied, the 2nd one will be able to pass through but not to stop.

Just to be clear, as the Bosporan if I were to garrison my Scythian allied province, then I would lose the ability to recruit Scythian allies but would have the extra revenue?

That is sad news - the Bosporan army potentially losing some of its edge. (Wild celebrations break out across the east).

no only if you annex Scythian province, so after 5 turn.
yes that mean after 4 turn it's better to leave the province ungarisoned

The Armenian came down like the wolf on the fold,
And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold;
And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea,
When the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee.
In other words I have submitted my move ....

Next Question(s):
1. Do I have to keep my main 600pt army in a province to garrison it? Can I recruit a garrison there and move on with my army? Can I drop off a small chunk of my army as a garrison and move the rest on?

When does recruiting/army building happen? Can I build a 2nd army next turn in Rome and be able to move it that same turn?
I am assuming there is no extra cost in movement to travel by sea?
