Welcome to the campaign! I counted two slots, so I better recount... :)

Do you just use the bigger army's size and the smaller force doesn't spend all the points? That hasn't worked for me when I tried to handicap myself against the AI, but I've never tried it in multiplayer.
We are using it in the Lost Worlds campaign and have not had any issues yet. You just pick the 1000 point (both players) but only select how ever many points you have. Also, you name your army in the save feature, and then its easy to take off loses and add reinforcements without much effort, and can keep your army as it was before the losses or gains etc.

Kingdom Assignments

Ok, we are close to kicking this thing off. First we will get the Kingdoms assigned, making sure everyone is still here, and then move the page to the campaigns section. There will be one page we don't write on, its for campaign info, and then one we will use for communication. I will post the new pages once the kingdoms are handed out.

First off, please post any requests for Kingdoms. We need two people who can be fairly active for France and England and also for the larger allied Kingdoms. Also, if you would prefer a smaller kingdom just post your preferance.

Thanks.

Shoudl an army that is destroyed by being unable to retreat, after battle losses, lose the 20% the owner is refunded, and then become a Free Companies Army. that can only live by pillaging, and becomes sort of a wandering horde. IF it was engaged in battle it would be controlled perhaps by a random player whose province it is not in?

Just a thought.

Thanks Tom, have you been play testing? We can flush that out once the game gets released.

Scar - I would be interested in playing Castile or Genoa and would prefer not to play England or France, but if I do end up playing something else I wont lose any sleep over it :D

Scar -
I would interested in playing HRE, Flanders, Navarre or Normandy, in that order - after that anything goes (even the big 2).

One perhaps really silly question - but are there 3 season per campaign year, or four, becasue it affects the maximum army size that can be sustained - At threee seasons, France could maintain 1000 pts indefinently, while at 4 seasons, that drops to 750 (if I did my math right) for the starting armies.

Also, if I am interpreting the fiance rules correctly, Aragon and Genoa can't even maintain their starting armies in the fild over three seasons, let alone four.

The points may all be moot, if I am misreadignt he campaign spending rules (1 sp / BP / season)

Cheers

when it would start?

Really don't have much of a preference over my army - would avoid playing the big 2 if possible (I'm already in 2 campaigns and the league - so that may not be best)... If I have to make a preference, something with longbows, lots and lots of longbows sounds good. ;)

I know I said it doesn't matter but I really should not be playing England or France. To much else going on.
Other than that I don't have any preferences.

If I've counted correctly you are out of places now, but if one of the players drop out please consider me on your reserve list :) I didnt think I would be interested in the medieval period, but my views are changing after looking at Storm of Arrows and this thread!

I hope to have us going here shortly, we just need to hand out the kingdoms, and get the first turn rolling.

Still a little worried on the money side of things, but will add or subtract if necessary as we go.

Taking What Tom had going, I have added a bit to the list. Please let me know if you have any suggested changes to this list once everyone has had a chance to look at the lists. Also, once the Kingdoms are handed out, please look around online for information about your Kingdom, and if you can make a pitch that you army should be something else, we can change it.

Finally, sure would like to get the Swiss in there, but not seeing where...anyone?

Valois = M. French (early) or Ordanace French
Castile = M. Castillian
Aragon = M. Aragonese (early)
Brittany = 100YW English (early)

Hi,

Just checkin' in. If possible I'd like to take the Empire or Genoa. But that's only a low priority, I take anything else, also.

Add Free Cantons connected to their old friends - Hapsburg and Burgundy :) and maybe one other (Genoa would make sense) - make them a neutral, similiar to Navarre - and then recruit.

Did you mean the free company? I couldn't find the free Cantons on the list.

Sorry - Free Cantons would be the city name (you could use geneva instead) for the Swiss (Early) - and it should be Forest Cantons anyway - bad research on my part - the were around Lake Lucerne.

I think Free Company armies should be in there, but more as a by=product of battles or un paid troops.
