Triarii Syrian States defeats Kroche Crusader 61-46

Lucky to get a victory after the whole of a successful Syrian left was unhinged by a Crusader C-in-C stand of epic proportions preventing an impending Crusader collapse.

Fragmented Crusader Knights with their C-in-C fighting two Muslim stood a charge from a third formed unit, didn't break then or in the next combat round against the three, then rallied ,then killed the Syrian C-in-C disrupting all the opposition and with support finally arriving broke the Syrians just a couple of casualties away from auto-break.
Fortunately the Crusader force, mostly on foot, plodded after the now, few, formed Syrian horse left on the left who went on a magical mystery tour. The Syrian right, way over on the other side of the map, nibbled away enough isolated Crusaders to win.
Good game, thanks to Kroche (with an appeal that next time we play he uses my clumsy General - and armoured spears who can 1 catch trapped LC and 2 disrupt when hitting said LC in the rear - store)

Kroche (Papal) defeats alexmike (Serbian) 55-61

Very close match where Serbians broke through the Papal left with mass cavalry as the Papal centre battered through the Serbian mixed foot of bow and spear. All hell broke loose and Papal forces had enough luck to get over the line. GG

Tough map but English dismounted Knights eventually made the difference.

Two tough battles over a steep hill with lots of spears and not much cav.

Too many cheap British troops for the better quality Normans

Div B

alexmike1 (Papal) beat Kroche (Serbian) 60-51

The Serbs initially found it difficult to get around the Papal knight's flanks with their superior numbers of lance armed cavalry. Eventually the Papal flanks gave way, but their strong centre just about managed to get over the line.

Two good, close, games.

Div F

rpadilla1988 (Castillian 1476-1497) defeats EdmondDantes (Granadine 1450-1492) 8-41

The Granadine forces pressed heavy with arrows forcing the Castillians into quick action and to victory.

rpadilla1988 (Granadine) defeats EdmondDantes (Castillian) 11-43

Grandine forces used the swamps to hide much of their crossbows and peppered the Castillians until both forces clashed. Skirmishers tied up the left flank and the same for the right.

Kroche (Venetian) defeats angusosborne (Bohemian) 44-60

Close game which saw Bohemians get the better of the opening turns. Venetians gained a hold in the game when Bohemian progress on their left slowed due to an inconvenient area of rough ground under Venetian control. Venetian dismounted knights could get into melee in the centre vs weaker Bohemian heavy foot. Bohemian Men at Arms fought well, but delayed by pursuits while Venetian more numerous Mercenary Knights recovered from their pursuits in time to decisively defeat the Bohemian centre. GG

Division C

nyczar (Berber) crushes Hari72 62%-58%.

Wild game that was almost an incredible comeback from Hari72. Good game.
