That's right...I don't live far from there.

How difficult the war in the mountains can be understood if you look at photos and read memoirs of those who fought in the Caucasus, Afghanistan and Chechnya )

Well, I'm curious to see how they finish this mission. After the battle for Vossenack, if it is successful, there will be a gift.

Very good. I also used my armored troops for the breakout and escape, as I only wanted to defend one objective hex from the beginning and thus gathered the remaining troops around this point.

For the Hill 400 mission, you need a lot of infantry and, of course, good artillery. Hill 400, as the Americans called it, was very hard-fought. But I think you can do it.

With height 400 is still difficult, I capture it from very resistant German paratroopers who are desperately resisting )))) Then begins the German counterattack with the help of Tiger and paratroopers )))) which I also successfully repel but I do not have the strength and moves to take the remaining two important cities which are also well defended here I combine different tactics but so far I have not achieved a positive result )) It is surprising that the Americans do not use aviation at all )

The weather and the forest made it virtually impossible for the American Air Force to deploy.
This last mission is difficult, I know.

I “only” played it at Colonel level. It took me two attempts because, of course, as the author I know the mission inside out and because I had the wrong unit setup on the first attempt.

I only deployed the units to the east that I absolutely needed to conquer Hill 400, mainly strong infantry and artillery, my small rocket launcher had gained experience in the meantime and was the ideal back-up for the experienced rangers. I sent the rest to the south via the village of Schmidt and from there marched into the other remaining villages. I saw that you lost a lot of good infantry, maybe it was because the replacements are never as good as the “old hands”.

To be honest, I like these mini campaigns better than the big ones. They don't last as long and you can concentrate on a new topic. And I still have a few of them in my head.

				Hello,
I am hereby publishing a new mini-campaign of mine. It was actually only meant for my own amusement, but I got it out of my archive and edited it so that I can publish it. Briefings,
translation and other small changes.
It's about the last successful armoured battles of the German Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front from February-April 1945.
I call it ‘Lost Victories’ and it has 6 missions from Stargard to Lauban to Bautzen.

The garrison troops of Stargard may not cross the city limits (red crosses) and their number may not be less than four.

The second message refers to this.
However, the player has the possibility to buy units in Stargard to reinforce the city or to break out with the purchased ones, which is a small relief. This was a small change of mine, in the original I could not buy or convert reinforcements in Stargard. This should simulate that the trapped troop should wait for help from outside on command and therefore can only defend itself.
