I was totally loosing the game until a moment when my lancer clinched between 2 lines of melee fights start to break from behind and flanks trapped opponents cavs, pikes and crossbowmen. Thank you for the good game

The battles for this pairing were heavily influenced by a large stream cutting between the battlelines. In this instance the Venetians were win the battle in the center across the stream before the German men at arms destroyed their flank. Well played.

Two battles dominated by cavalry. In the first, the Crusaders assumed from the beginning the configuration of a battle group, with infantry interspersed with heavy cavalry in support. This meant that the weak Egyptian infantry in the center was annihilated by the Crusader infantry while a fight between the two cavalries with an uncertain outcome developed on the flanks. In the second battle the Egyptian infantry blocked that Crusade using the shelter of hedges and low walls. The Crusader heavy cavalry instead suffered heavy losses as they were scattered and attacked from all directions by the weaker Egyptian cavalry. Thank you gfs26 for the two good, hard fought battles.

As always it was exciting battle vs Eric. Having more troops especially horse archers I achieved to break one flank quickly and and then his center. Thx for the game

Division B

Lennard (Vijayanagara) defeats Triarii (Indian Muslim) 24% - 58%. Score: 96 - 24

The Muslim army deployed mostly on their right, while they moved forward, the Vijayanagaran army could bring up their center and right to attack the attacking Muslims. They also fell back on their left to delay contact with the Muslim right. Thanks to many light guns and massed archery on long range, the Vijayanagarans were able to break large parts of the Muslim infantry, while the Muslim elephants stampeded over the Vijayanagaran right. Although some rallies occured and the fighting was dragged out, the Vijayanagara won the day. Overall a very messy and somewhat hard to describe fight. Thanks to my opponent!

Lennard (Indian Muslim) defeats Triarii (Vijayanagara) 26% - 56%. Score: 94 - 26

At first the battle saw a large shifting of lines, with both armies tyring to outflank the respective right side of their opponents. At some point turing this clock-like manouver the Muslim army turned and collapsed in an L-shape on the most advanced left Vijayanagaran positions. On the other flank - the Vijayanagara right, Muslim left - with some delay hordes of elephants clashed. Heavy melee fighting with some shooting ensued. But the dice-gods favoured the Muslims and some units, which defenitly should have broken sooner, held on in fragmented state, while many of the elephant on elephant fights also went well for the Muslim army. Thus the Vijayanagara force was defeated in the end.

Rosedelio (Fatimid Egyptian) defeats Zawzgrzyt (Byzantine) 46-6. Score 114-6

While the map was narrow and woody, the Fatimids were able to use their Ghilman and massed archers to outshoot the Byzantine line while the spears advanced into contact.
