Aetius (British) defeats tyronec (Romans) 65-53

An epic battle in which the Brits only managed to win on the very last turn; the Romans put up a very brave and strong defense until the very end (and, it seemed to me, having the possibility to actually win until the end too). GG and very well played in defeat!

The Romans huddled on a low hill nervously staring at a range of rough hills in front of them. The massed slingers and warbands bravely swarmed forwards and pelted the Romans on the hill. The romans moved one way and the other, but somehow the sling stones bounced off their armour repeatedly. A couple of over excited warbands pursued too far and got flanked for their trouble. The missiles ran out and the warbands charged, but the legions held. Thanks for another tough game where my opponent could have stayed back for a draw.

ROUND 2 - Germanic Rise: Anglo-Saxon Invasion of Britain.

Rome has left; her legions gone to help prop up an already doomed Empire. The Romano-Britons are not used to being on their own, and see the Picts coming down upon their Northern borders. The Picts are fierce warriors, and so the British reason they need equally, if not fiercer, men to go against them. Call in the Saxons. They did a great job of pushing the Northern Tribes back...so great that they decided they might stay a while longer, like...forever. Thinking the Britons weak, they commence with a great attempt to take Britain...

Can I confirm that though it is not laid out above, as per the PM you sent out, the only choices the Romano British player will have are either Northern European Agricultural or Hilly maps ?

Hi, and yes you are correct. The Romano British player can ONLY choose between those two map types: Northern European Agricultural or Northern European Hilly.

I'm interested in what the Romano-British players will pick...
