Nikaian Byz isn't bad, but they could really do with more infantry. I was badly exposed on that front by Klay's unstoppable wall of armoured spearmen and war wagons.

The best thing about Nikaian Byz is the Frankish knights with horse and rider caparisoned in scarlet. They look really cool!

Germans are fun to play. ..Swiss ally gives them HF toughness options, they have knight and in londos case I brought war wagons to stymie his cav heavy army. ..not often you play the war wagons card...but when it happens. ..SURPRISE! Great tournament all...a good bunch o dudes. See you all in the knockout

Morbio (Dacian) 31/42 beat Macsen (Macedonian Successor) 38/38

Very tough game which was essentially decided by the dice. I was fortunate enough to have a quite a few rolls go in my favour at a critical time. An example being fragmented MF taking impact from steady lancers and not only winning, but disrupting too.

This means I finish my FoG league career on a minor high even if undeserved... and validates my decision to stop because the game is too unpredictable, which really frustrates me.

Thanks to all my league opponents over many years, may you never roll 4 1s.... except of course you will.... far too often
