klayeckles (persian) beats Ludendorf (Seleucid) 64-32
really great battle...Seleucids went with a sledge hammer...right after the hoplites perched on a hill...and it went very well at first. the phalynx's began to mow down the hoplites despite the hill. and soon the persians were looking very vulnerable to total collapse. but the sledge hammer left the seleucid flanks vulnerable, if only the persians could do something before the center collapse.

A lowly mob slid into some woods atop the hill in the center, and it was enough to freeze the veteran seleucid phalynx for most of the rest of the battle. this helped the persian center hold on while the persian right flank slowly ground down the seleucid defenders there...finally creating an outflank on the phalynxs.

note this was much closer than the score...several persians rallied late to make things look more favorable then they really were for most of the battle. a real nail biter with the persians coming from behind...excellent match up, Seleucid Emperor!.

SpeedyCM (Achaemenid Persian 545-481BC) defeated nyczar (Pergamene 190-129BC) 68 - 50.

What started with marches and counter marches in an attempt to gain advantage soon descended into a bloodbath that Pyrrhus could call his own.
