Taking a break from creating naval and air units. Starting to work in the 1982 versions of the British infantry units, which are basicaly the standard icons but armed with the FN FAL and M16 (for SAS) rifles; and different skin.
Here we can see regular infantry alongside SAS and bridge eng. units, supported by some Harriers.

Those FAL rifles look great! I think the British called them the SLR (Self Loading Rifle) and were only capable to fire in semi-auto mode (not in full auto like the FAL version used by Argentine troops). :-)

Argentinian and British ground forces face each other:

Argentinian regular infantry had a large number of conscripts in its composition. The unit stats are going to be worst than their British counterparts:

Soon I will start to work on the scenario itself.

Yes indeed, I was thinking the same, significant number of british helis were shotdown by the pucaras.
I think I will have to make aerial and ground attack versions for them, like the rest of the multupurpose aircraft in this mod. (so far I had in mind to make the pucara a tac bomber).

Things are slowly taking shape:

I had to resign the distances realism between the islands and the continent, otherwise the map would be immense and impossible to play. Same with the Ascension Island.
Lets see how does it works....

Just curious in advance: that "lynx" vehicle will be Recon or paper-thin Tank?

In Modern Conflicts there is no such category as "recon", it is renamed AFV. Recon traits are assigned to various ground and air forces in order to fulfill that function.
Answering your question, in this scenario there shall be no tanks but insted some AFV: FV101 and FV107 for the British and the AML90 for the Argentines, historically there was only one battle involving a battle amongst these vehicles.
Best regards,
Akkula.

Yup, Scmitar and Scorpions are already in the mod and for sure they will be deployed in this scenario :D .

PS: lol, I am still working in new units

This is the "Argentine" AML90, then why does it have 6 wheels instead of 4 as on the original ) ?
