davouthojo (Palmyran) 52/60 vs 53/53 (Indo-Greek) ericdoman1

Palmyran won initiative and picked a battlefield between a wood and a steep cliff. An initial archery duel favoured the Palmyrans - they had brought a raft of archers with them. Unfortunately, the Palmyran archers were too exposed and many were put to flight by the Indo-Greek Peltasts. The death of the Palmyran CIC at the hands of the Indo-Greek CIC did not help - things were looking grim for the Palmyrans.

Then the tide turned. The Palmyran flanking move that had been plodding through the woods reached the open, the Auxiliaries shored up the archers on the left and the legionaries piled in to the pikes. Unit after unit of the Greeks gave up and went fleeing. A big turnaround was on the cards....the Palmyrans just got there in time.

Thanks for a great game!
