I thought I had a solid defense but left a gap that Justin exploited with benefit of naval guns. A well deserved victory.

Sorry JT... That may be my fault... I was playing Jcb a few weeks back, with me as Allies, him as German defenders... He sent me some typically cocky/happy go lucky in game sms (after one of his on fire fighter bombers had taken out 3 tanks in a single sortie kind of thing)... so I warned him that I would take out one of his StuGs with a destroyer, in revenge ... I don't think he believed me; hadn't realised I'd got two destroyers in quite close... So I took out one tank per turn over the next four turns... Justin seems to be sold on the benefits of the Royal Navy now... because, sadly, he inflicted pretty much the same on me in the later turns of our swapover game, lol...

John with an H, I'm ready to play our other match whenever you want. That was a great game, I did get lucky a few times. My strategy seems a bit corrupted from the Allied side lately, maybe due to a certain unofficial opening game that never happened, our boys always think they can just steamroll over the road to victory.. =)

Do I owe anyone any games I have not picked up? I have 17 games in progress, which is too many, but I am prioritizing tourney games

Thanks Jon, you do to - its nice to have friendly people to banter with during gameplay. The tourney folks bear that out.

I just got very, very lucky when a couple of destroyers just happened to stop right in the view/line of fire of a coastal gun... I confess, the marsh trick, is one wholly copied from His Eminence, Jcb... although JT taught me some deft sneakiness for the German deployments too... Thanks for a great game, JT... You put up a spirited fight, and the final result was fortunate...
