69/50 to Creully, 231/50 to Tailleville.
k9mike wrote:One of the things that bugs me is the "Weather"...Really think we should atleast get a couple Typhoon Bonus' even on foul weather....
Or, we should have just used how the weather was for "Real" during the "Real" Campaign...just a thought.
For the moment, german side was very lucky with weather. In general terms, should be 7 days with good weather for every 3 bad weather days. Personaly I prefer uncertainty about weather.

G, shouldn't 69/50 been dissolved?? It lost and lost all flags...Right?
As far as the weather...I would like it too if I were the Germans...;)
Not too fun as Allies to have that at your disposal..only to see it sit there cause of alittle rain...Hell...they launched the Damn Invasion into uncertainy....
Sorry...Just abit peeved with the dice.

Upsss, you are right Mike! I forgot 69 Bde will be dissolved. Sorry. Since 231 entered on Thaon from Bayeux, and Bayeux is busy, you can choose Tailleville or Creully as destiny for 231/50

Hehe, I might just do that, M... Lebisey KIAs are 9 Brits to 3 Germans, so 11 Brit units left to fight 17 Germans...

Random & I got 4 turns in tonight, but I'm afraid I won't blame the other guy if real life genuinely gets in his way...

Ok John, stop here. You win.

Because of my work, my family..., sometimes I have long time to spent in GJS, sometimes short time and another times no time at all. If I have short time add it that for me is a great effort to traduce all to your language. So please consider that before to accuse me of make everybody "wastes time responding to useless emails". During last week, for example, I worked on updating rulebook to 1.3 version (finished last sunday). If I have to prioritize first is play battles, second introduce new features and fixes in rulebook and the latter is to comment battle status with my team mates. If I have time enough try to do everything but if time is short... Sorry if you don't like that order.

So please cut your irony and your sarcasm, I accept I am a bad BA player, a poor strategist and a dreadful team mate, all of that is quite obvious for anybody who read your comments.

I have uploaded all necesary to play the GJS campaign to my Dropbox folder, new rulebook, maps, map captures, gjs folder estructure, etc. Build your own campaign or continue this one, do it your way and play with those that share your point of view.

If some player wants to continue playing with me please drop me a pm.

Thanks a lot for your help John. (and I don't tell this with irony)

Lets all just play nice...:) We are all grown men and this is no biggie. We all have lives and its proceeding along about as best as can be expected. This is a "Grand Campaign" and definetely did not be made to finish over night.
Think there is mainly the "English" factor involved here. We all have to remember that English is not G's Language at all...He is doing a hell of alot better then if I was playing with only Spanish Speaking players...That is for sure. Also, remember it is G who made this for US to be involoved in. We have all helped...But, in the end...It IS still his..Right?
Lets just continue on as best as we can, since we all have things going on and this is just a game that we all love to play (obviously) :D
I have been having alot of fun with this (winning and losing...lol) and very glad to have met and had the time to correspond with all of you.
I Salute you ALL... :D

Sincerely John, I don't believe this would be going well. You have your way of run the campaign and I have mine. I am not going to kick off anybody but is time to get off the bus for me. Probably you will give a good impulse to GJS and will open it for more players, with a better "understanding" between them. Good luck and thanks for everything.

maybe the real problem is that we have placed two leaders in the same side.

Hehe, linguistics aside, to be 100% sure, Granfali are you kicking me off? Or are we going to get on with the game? If you want me to leave and start up a fresh Normandy campaign loosely based on this one, please be blunt. I won't mind.

If you are kicking me off, genuinely no hard feelings from my side. It's been a pleasure to help you get to where we are now. Please post a link so that I can download the files/maps/mods that we've all worked into the game so far. Copies of the battle group icons for the Normandy strat map, and a blank version of the strat/sector map itself would be really helpful too.

Thanks for an awesome foundation to our first version of GJS. This has the potential to be great fun... I'd love to open this up to new players, and let it evolve in a slightly different direction, depending what new players want from it... Thanks mate, for giving it the excellent start that it needed.

:-)

Lebisey Woods... Sorry guys, I forgot to note down the KIAs at end game... Would you mind doing that, Random?

Essentially, it's a Brit win, holding three flags at the end... Random played very cleverly, mostly using the cover of the central corn field to set up two mortar positions that I couldn't do much about until I took out a covering tank, which I did with an 88, but by then the game was as good as over... A Churchill flamethrower delivered the coup de grace by being in exactly the right place at the right time to prevent me bringing back an infantry preloaded into a 251/1 transport to take back the 3rd flag... despite pummeling the bad guys with three PzIVs... Once again, Random proves that he's the king of BA!! Nicely won, monsieur. Merci for a great game...

:-)

Guys, Granfali's right that I should duck out of GJS, which I'm going to do.

Granfali's concept of running a manyplayer campaign, where individual MP battles impact strategic objectives and future force selection is a fun and elegant way to get the best out of the current Battle Academy engine. Please carry on with this excellent campaign. I'll be watching the forums to learn as you guys progress...

Meanwhile, I've begun developing a second manyplayer campaign so that more new players can enjoy what we've started here... Granfali, if you'll permit me, I'd like to call our new campaign GJS'44, and I've started a new post to explain -> viewtopic.php?f=87&t=38844

I'd certainly appreciate all of your thoughts and comments as we get GJS'44 ready to launch.

Good luck all! Fighting to Caen with the Allies was lots of fun :-)

I to am going to bow out. I think its for the best if we can make a fresh start and move on with the current changes to see if this Great Campaign can grow. Best of luck to all and I really enjoyed all of the good times we had with developing this great campaign. Take care all...Salute you all...

Mike & Gents, Please don't bow out of GJS! Random's right that the problem here was we had two guys who both have great ideas and want to create and change things to make an awesome campaign but sometimes we just didn't communicate or plain simply trod on each others jackbooted feet, lol...

Although you're all VERY welcome to join GJS'44, please do stay and complete GJS too. Granfali has put in an incredible amount of effort and intelligence into starting GJS, and we've all been learning as we've been playing.

Let's keep these two campaigns running side by side, so that we can all continue having fun, share maps, mods and anything else, to make whatever comes next even better still...
