Romes German Auxilia celebrate their ist victory (which is good as they were threatening to string up the Legate after some severe manhandling by the arrow storms of the Krimean warlord)
Rome/TheGrayMouser/ Early Germans Victory
34/43
5014/12900
Phannagoria/Batesmotel/Nueva Castillians
47/47
6396/14100
We will await word from the Don if a second battle will be fought (and where we are, perhaps our long lost province of Samnium??)

Defeat for the Highlanders against the Krimea defending the Slave Pits.
Clan Braveheart (Spaniards)
Casualties 9,558/24,000 82/80
Crimea (Bosphorians)
Casualties 5,068/18,300 53/61
The Spaniards tried new tactics against the Bosphorans, bravely cowering in the corner of the map that offered a few hills and plantations that might shield them from the Bosphorian lancers. This did not save them, after a long war of attrition, the bosphoran lancers finally broke through. The high casualties for the highlanders shows the peril of giving battle with a lake at your back!
Rather than face a second battle of this dire type, the spaniards will retreat into the city and call on our blood allies, the Covenanter empire for aid.
On another field, second battle of ???? with Phangoria has been posted, password "bates"

On a happier note, Clan Braveheart reports the repulse of the unprovoked Canaanite invasion in a first battle in Laphroaig.
Clan Braveheart (Spaniards)
Casualties 6,112/19,500 53/65
Canaanites (Seleucid)
Casualties 5,657/13,200 46/44
An epic 21 turn battle, with just one riverline to shelter the spanish mediums against the full fury of the Seleucid pikemen and cataphracts.......it was looking good for the Canaanites until the Spanish managed to break into the Canaanite left wing, tired after a long fighting march to outflank the riverline and put it to flight.
I make the surviving armies:
Clan Braveheart 422
Canaan 329
Will the Canaanite Empire fight again or go home with their tail between their legs?

Chris, would you be able to calculate the new Ap's for the above 2 battles and also for our battle?
Rome will go for round 2 versus Hypoxia as the lord of that land has advised they will re-engage
Waiting to hear if The Shahanashah will offer a second battle or retreat to a city.....
Our general staff will need the new ap's to determine if continuing the campaign in New Albia is feasable after our heavy losses.....

Send me the numbers for the battles or a pointer to the results. I'm willing to calculate the points but not to dig through all the battle results to find the ones you need calculated.

Honor system for cards
Posted: Mon Aug 16, 2010 6:48 pm
by batesmotel
Anyone playing a card to restore their armies to full strength or similar will need to be on the honour system until Peter is back. My calculations are straight forward and anyone can duplicate those. I don't have access to Peter's records for cards or have access to his campaign data other than what is in the forums.

Self Check out Line for caclulating new AP'S
(Here is the formula, actually copied form one of Chris' earlier posts WAYYY back)
***Assumes you have 500 ap's to start****
If you WON a battle but suffered 10,000 killed out of 25,000 , your reduction in AP's would be:
500*.5*10,000/25,000 or 100 points, so your new strength would be 400 points.
If you LOST the battle with the same # of casualties:
500*.8*10,000/25,000 or 160 points, so your new strength would be 340 points.
For Draws both players would calc using the same mulitplier for a win for both players, .5
I would suggest both players just do the calculations after a battle and make sure both concur with the #'s and keep fighting!

That should be fine. It would be good to PM GrayMouser or Davouthojo that you are using the card.

Results of the Utopian invasion of Tuam.
Posted: Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:02 pm

The Utopians are pleased to report that their efforts were successful in their invasion of Tuam (province to be announced?)
Battle results:
Utopia (Seleucid): 40/44 12,640/4374 WINNER
Tuam (Roman) : 45/43 12,900/5062
It was a close and bloody battle, but Utopia will press the attack. I believe this was the first battle. Could someone determine what our new points are?
Thanks,
Deeter Magnus of Utopia
