The 3rd Proconsular Army will be send to Gallia Narbonensis to challenge the Allobroges, who meanwhile invaded the province. The Senate strictly recommends to assign Pro-Praetor Rexhurley as commander, following the roman tradition, as he was most recently elected for governship of this province.

All commanders can array 3-4 Legions and assign 2-3 subcommanders. The Senate awaits a mutual agreement on the distribution of subcommanders. Only members of the magistrate ( Consuls, Praetors, Quaestors, Censors, Tribunes ) and Governors are eligible to refuse assignment. Governors are not allowed to leave their respective provinces.

Eric.

Tophat should be integrated in one of the Proconsular Armies to aquire points. Otherwise training battles could cause an inflation of points.

So far I haven´t included a limit to chariots/ elephants.

We change that rule to a limit of 8 with HC, Cataphracts, Elephants, Scythed Chariots and HChariots counting towards that limit.
I wouldn´t include Light Chariots, that would end up in problems setting up the Gauls army.

Cheers, Klaus

batesmotel, if you could take Tophat with you against the Allobroges, I'm sure he would prove his worth.

As for the third proconsular army, who will lead it?

Why certainly esteemed Tophat in return for your valour and success you and your troops may help yourself to the splendours of the land on the Galatian borders and all the riches you should find there.

Please note though should you wish some advice as how to beat these heathens you would be best to seek advice elsewhere more likely the Mouse in the South or the Bates Motel from acrross the Pond as to how to go about it, as I'm here due to my sharp tongue and lack of funds to entertain the right client's at the Lupanaar in Rome

Ah fine governor rexhurly I most humbly accept your offer to serve Rome and restore our nations borders! I shall make all haste to your province and assume command of what legion? Or need I raise a legion before I leave the tranquility of Rome?

OK, Rex, if you can drag yourself away from the Lupanar for a bit I've got a challenge for you, password cotr. I don't know if you have legates that I'm supposed to play too, but when I find out I'll post more challenges.

Hey, whoever conquers the Allobroges is going to get a lot of free sugar at the Lupanar! :)

Best,

Tim

Excellent, I hear the northern women are quite fiery. When do we leave and how big an army shall I bring?
