Everyone has passed.
There are still a couple of players to post their first result, but I am satisfied that they have multiple games in progress so there will be no changes to the divisions at the first Time Control. The second check is in 14 days time on Monday 5th November where players should have posted at least 3 results in each section they have entered, otherwise they may be replaced by a reserve.

SnuggleBunnies (Jewish) defeats klayeckles (Nabataeans) 53-24
GG. My Jewish army settled for a completely guileless head on charge down the center. klayeckles engaged in some subtle maneuvering, withdrawing his center and enveloping my army on both sides. However, broken ground and enclosures allowed hold out units to delay his right wing attack, while more broken ground and massed skirmisher support gave the Jews victory on the left. In the center, more massed skirmishers forced an engagement before the right hook could claw through the stubborn Jewish Irregular Foot and Zealots holding out behind enclosures, and the Nabataean Massed archers collapsed on impact with the ferocious Zealots, despite inflicting heavy losses with their arrow storm.

Closer game than the score indicates as a pike block fragmenting on the initial charge by a Samnite inf unit was a turning point.

harveylh (Jewish Revolt 66-135AD) beat Morbio (Spanish, Sertorius 80-70BC) 41-12
The armies were largely on adjacent hills with the Spanish hills mostly being higher. However two woods each one square in size allowed the zealots to pin two warbands and one Roman unit most of the game. The Spanish right flank was undone by a medium infantry unit with general fragmenting during a withdrawal. A good game.
