It is my honour to report a victory for the Parliamentarian forces over the Royalists under the command of Lord Cavehobbit in Central-West. (14% to 45%).

A village and its surrounding hedged fields near the centre of the battlefield (but nearer the Parliamentarian lines) seemed the perfect place to seek conclusions. The massed Royalist cavalry swept impotently around the left hand edge of the enclosed area, while the Parliamentarian left wing infantry (under Sir Edward Milliband) held the fields and our the right wing infantry (under Lord Cameron) swept round to roll up the Royalist infantry, assisted by dragoons and commanded shot. Most of our cavalry was held in reserve behind the foot, but some passed through the lines to assist with the destruction of the Royalist foot.

God was with us this day, and Lord Cavehobbit is believed to have resigned his commission in despair.

A dusty and bloodstained messenger has just arrived and confirms General Warlord's victory in the NE over general Doyley50 and his army. It was by all accounts a hard fought action, the main infantry action taking place on a hill in the centre of the field. General Doyley50 attempted to use his cavalry to outflank and smite the rascally traitors where they were least expecting it. Unfortunately the cavaliers took so long in getting in position that just as they were beginning their smiteing and making themselves felt, the Royalist infantry in the centre began to give way under relentless pressure from Warlord's foot . General Doyley50 has accused his cavalry commanders of allowing his men to be delayed when they found a supply of pillaged Brown Ale in the Parliamentarian baggage train, but reliable sources will have it that this is merely an attempt by General Doyley50 to hide the fact that he miscalculated again.

Lieutenant Warlord is thankful that General Doyley50, after over indulging on our finest ale, deployed his forces in a most unusual formation.

South
Deadtorius (46%) victorious Vs Blathergut (61%) 15% difference.


Great news from the South. Our most dour and high and mighty Lord has granted us victory over bubblettes and scented silk hankies. Lord Blatherguts army has been defeated and the South is closer to seeing the true light. We caught Lord Blathergut waiting for new troops to arrive from somewhere over that hill and we moved in to attack at once before his superior numbers could be brought to bear. Lord Blathergut responded by backing up away from the fearsome and extra dour Parliament forces. I expanded out my right and moved in to take on his foot and horse, which we did successfully. Our center moved to the top of the recently vacated hill and received a face full of scented lead so we began to back up off the hill to avoid royalist shooting. On our left we got a bit too enthusiastic and moved our forces too far forward and started taking shooting casualties. My left collapsed but revenge was ours as we managed to flank charge a cavalier that had taken out a raw pike and shot unit and succeeded in breaking it then also managed to just stay ahead of his companion cavalier that spent the remainder of the game chasing us always 1 or 2 squares away. As the royalist reinforcements arrived they moved into combat piece meal and were shot up and destroyed piecemeal. Eventually the royalist left had been destroyed and we moved in on the flank and rear of what was left of the royalist center.
A great victory and thank you general Blathergut for the game. Hope your bubble bath did not get too full of holes.

With a lot of Welsh words I think it is easy to know how to start to spell them, it's when to stop that is the problem

Parliamentary Victory in South Wales!
Our forces defeated the Royalists under Lord Turenne by a score of 42 to 17, with a 25 point difference in our favor.

The Royalist had a strong central position among hedges and villages. The key to teir defense were the hills on either flank. one was taken, and their position was turned.

Aryaman won 32% vs 58% RBS (+26%)

General Scott, probably on the advice on some Prussian military counsellor, advanced on my right to perform an oblique attack. My army refused the right flank supporting it on a hill while moving cavalry to the extreme right to supoort my infantry, that was shot to pieces despite the advantage in firepower of my musketeer regiments. In my extreme right a confused cavalry melee, with flanking and counterflanking was developing, while in the center both armies were moving to contact. The exchange of volleys was very favourable to the rebels, but when it came to the hand to hand combat, things were different, my cavaliers leadered a furious charge that routed regiment after regiment of rebel foot unitl the whole was was put to flight. The Mid- East is slowly returning to the obedience of the king.

An "Epic Battle" has been fought in the South-East. General Turenne brought a smaller army to the field that was built around veteran cavalier units. He swept away my horse, but was unable to fully reform his squadrons and return them to the field in time to be decisive in the push of pike and musket volleys. As in many of these actions the lines eventually became reversed, with victorious units passing through the lines and attacking others from the rear.

Royalists 61 % loss

After a marathon battle , the righteous Roundheads finally won a battle in the previously Strong
Royalist South-West province. Rumours of a Parliament victory have tongues a wagging about
changing Allegiances and the turning of the tide.

Good battle performance but poor geography - it was in Central-East.
