SawyerK with the Gauls defeated Imatson2527 leading the Spanish Lusitanians.

The Gauls were lucky in this one as when the battle ended they had a number of units disrupted by javelin fire from Light Caerti and Javelin horse. The Superior Warbands of the Gauls were a defining element in the victory as was RND when the competing warbands hit.

A tough match where weight of numbers took their toll on the Phalanxes as their flanks fell. The Cavalry battle was still raging but the cheaper units of Carthage had their day on the field. A great opponent and enjoyable banter. Many thanks for the game. I am now open for offers or will wait 24hrs to issue another challenge.

Stew101 (Etruscans) has beaten Kronenblatt (Bosporan).

Score 49 - 16.

Really good map for the Etruscans, a good mix of gentle hills and small patches of rough.
That allowed then to dominate on both flanks and make the most of their fewer LI and cavalry to dictate events.
