British escort aircraft carrier HMS Ravager (D70) on the passage from Belfast to Gibraltar in the Bay of Biscay. onethousandninehundredfortyfour
The photo was taken from the aircraft carrier HMS Campania (D48). It can be seen how the aircraft carrier is rocking violently, and on the deck, Hellcat and Seafire fighters are tightly moored and kept from rolling overboard by additional Davis emergency barriers. Photo from the collection of British sailor Peter Horn, who served on aircraft carriers of the Royal Navy from 1942 to 1946.

Here they are
This AA Forts are made in 1942/43. Some of them were placed at the beginning of the Theems river. Nice but England was not a battlefield at that moment. So we can place them in a D-Day scenario in front of the few british hexes but they will not encounter any German aircraft I am afraid.

During the Second World War, the forts in the Thames Estuary destroyed one German submarine.[4] During the Second World War, the Thames Estuary forts shot down 22 aircraft and about 30 flying bombs; they were decommissioned by the Ministry of Defense in the late 1950s.

The Ruhustahl SD 1400 "Fritz X"Fritz-X radio-controlled bomb was a German air-launched radio-controlled bomb. Its main purpose was the destruction of heavily armored naval targets. It was based on the standard SD 1400 armor-piercing bomb, but featured improved aerodynamics, four small wings 1.35 meters long, and a tail. But in order to drop it, the plane had to fly directly over the intended target, which made it extremely vulnerable.
Nevertheless, the Fritz-X proved to be a fairly successful weapon. On September 9, 1943, the Germans dropped several pieces on the battleship Roma, drowning it along with 1,455 crew members. In total, more than 2000 Fritz-X were built, but only 200 were dropped. This was partly due to the fact that the bombs could not change direction abruptly, which substituted bombing groups that suffered heavy losses.

Teletanks was a project of radio-controlled armored vehicles developed in the Soviet Union before the war began. The concept was a creation of tanks without a crew, which are controlled at a distance by means of telecontrol over a radio channel. The first specimen of a Teletank to take part in actual combat operations was the TT-26, which was controlled by an operator from a vehicle nearby using a special console with two dozen different buttons, allowing up to 16 different commands to be given to the tank. The teletype tank and the operator in the other vehicle could move away from each other without impairing communication at a distance of up to one and a half kilometers.
The equipment of the Teletank was a DT machine gun and a flamethrower. Sometimes 200-700 kg delayed-action bombs in an armored box were added to this set - the tank dropped them next to enemy fortifications. The Teletank had the potential to use chemical weapons but never did so in practice. This vehicle made its mark at the initial stage of the Great Patriotic War and a bit earlier during the Soviet-Finnish war. However, further developments on the project were not carried out, mainly because of ineffective firing performance.

"On September 8, 1941, Wehrmacht units took the city of Shlisselburg with a fight. From that day on, the land border around Leningrad was closed – the heroic defense of Leningrad began. In the most tragic days of the defense of the city on the Neva River – in September 1941 – the 1st, 2nd, 20th, 22nd rifle, 21st motorized rifle divisions of the NKVD stood to the death, but the enemy was not missed."

Amazing aircraft! I assume that the Ta-400 is a strategic bomber and the Dr. Jones one is a tactical bomber right?
